I'm 5'2, 180 lbs, and I cannot lose wieght. I've been working out really hard at the gym, cardio, 5 days a week, for almost a year and have not lost 1 pound. I don't eat more than any one should, I have a normal lunch and dinner every day, and I don't eat a lot of snacks or fattening foods. I've also had my thyroid tested and it is normal. I just don't understand what the problem is. I'm thinking about getting lypo suction, because I don't gain wieght, I've been the same size ever since I had my child 3 years ago.

Possibly because you are working out so much you are building muscle as fast as you are loosing fat hence there is no change in your actual weight.

See your doctor again and get them to check everything possible.

You need to step up your cardio. If you are going at the same pace for the same amount of time/distance your body has gotten used to that. You have to keep challenging your body. You might also want to add some resistance training to your routine. This will build lean muscle which in turn helps to burn calories faster. Talk to one of the personal trainers at your gym...better yet, hire one for a month or so.

I have about the same build as you and I used to work out 4-5 days a week for an hour to an hour and a half. Yes, I saw results but you have to really commit to for the rest of your life. I wished I would have never stopped working out (financial resons). You might also want to consider Weight Watchers.

A friend of mine now works with a weight loss clinic with a doctor, a nutritionist, personal trainer and massage therapist. They had many clients with the same problem you have. One man had not lost any weight for 6 months even though he attended regularly. After introducing him to a nutritional cleansing and fat burning program, he lost 12 lbs in 9 days! He was so excited! The program cleans, nourishes and allows your body to release excess water and fat. This is what you have been looking for. The links below have more info. Email me if you have any questions.

I am the same weight as you but I am 5.4 and I don't each much and cant loose weight. Are you being honest with what you are eating, what do you class as a normal lunch and dinner, it should be lean meat salad sandwich at lunch and maybe chicken and veg with small amount of potato's for dinner with only skimmed milk for tea with no sugar adding up to about 1500 calories per day, remembering that a mars bar has almost 500 calories and teaspoon of sugar has 19 calories. I stick to it and don't loose weight but I don't do much exercise but if you are healthy be happy with your weight.

Everyone who works out and is still fat THINKS they don't overeat, but then when they actually track what they eat in a day, they're amazed... You're probably consuming twice as many calories as you think you are.

That's why weight watchers program works so well. You actually have to account for everything you eat. I've never known anyone that tried the program and failed.

Good luck to you!

If you want to reduce your weight, you need to do a lot of exercise to accelerate your metabolism. It's better if you do cardiovascular exercise, because this kind of exercise helps you burn fat...
You should begin with a good eating plan, combining fats and sweets with fruits and vegetables. It will be better if you drink at least eight glasses of water daily to control your calories and your cholesterol.
If you want you can use some pills to control your weight and to accelerate the process of burning fat.
I know some pills which you can use to reduce your weight. Those pills are Xenical. Its results are excellent and fast.

You can try eating less, exercise more and drinking adequate amount of water. You can also try the diet "NO MEAL AFTER 6PM". So you can eat your last meal for the day at 6pm and after that the next time you will eat is at breakfast. Thus, making your stomach rest for about 12 hours. I have tried it and its really on of the best diets I have tried. Hope it works for you too...
