I want to lose a lot of weight fast and get in shape at the same time. What is the best way to go about doing this? I just got a gym membership so I can go whenever I want.
My friend's personal trainer put her on a weird diet I may try which is : a cup and a half of cottage cheese for lunch and saltine crackers with tuna for dinner, a protein shake at some point throughout the day and an apple whenever she wants. Thoughts?

I have never been to gym. However, I enjoy dancing. I hardly have muscle on arms. How can I tone my muscle? Thank you.

I started the Atkins Diet yesterday

how much weight did u lose on it when you did it and how long did that take?

Ok... I need to lose about 40 lbs. But I am SO CONFUSED! How much should I eat? Should I be hungry or satisfied?
What should I eat? And do I really have to count calories and fat and carbs and so on??
I am 5 ft 4 in and 160 lbs. I would LOVE to be 120 again.

does anyone else think the same about me too ? I'm 5 ft 4" 120 lbs and even though I know I don't need to lose weight but tone up, I've been trying to lose 10 lbs since like 30 weeks back. I thought I had more than enough time to lose it and I know I did have ALOT of time, but now i'm getting married next week and I haven't lost a single pound. I am sick of my endless procrastination. I'm really stressed out because of this. I don't know what to do. I wanted to look great on my wedding day so bad, but I couldn't do it. I knew what to do and how to do, I even started out like a dozen times, just never got around to actually sticking to what I planned for more than a day.

How do they find out what nutrients are in each food, say like the vitman E content of a carrot? Is there some sort of machine or lab test for each vitman and mineral?

I was wondering, I only have a very small turkey to cook as for there is only two of us that will be having thanksgiving dinner together. I want the turkey to taste good, so we both will eat it.. however i dont want to add any unneccessary calories to the turkey meat itself.. if i roast the turkey with stuffing inside and butter on the outsides, will the meat i eat contain more calories from the extra dressings surrounding it ? I didnt know if it would absorb it or not. just curious ,not overly obsessive :) as i like to prepare things differently to see how they turn out.

What are some good healthy snack foods? I'm like a HUGE junk food eater (also a teen)and I really need help choosing something that is a healthy snack food and I need to be able to find it at Wal-Mart. I LOVE yogurt covered pretzels! Only found that out yesterday though. So somthing like that.

Would 4 big bowls put weight on you? bowls being aroun 80g a 30g serving is 130 cals 170 with semi skimmed milk, i'm also using semi skimmed milk. MY RMR IS 1362. I TAKE MY DOG FOR A WALK EVERYDAY although i don't have 4 bowls everyday (just today)

(+ nothing else at all through the day)

I'm trying to eat more protein, and need to know which foods are higher in protein content. I am familiar with beef and chicken, but I forget what else is good for that. Can you name a few things at the store that are helpful for increasing protein intake? I also am considering ease of preparation and cost.

I exercise everyday...run about 5-7 miles a day, and try to eat better. I give into temptation a lot though. How can I stop, or what foods should I be eating to help me lose the last 10 pounds I want to lose. Is peanut butter good or bad? Is to much fruit bad? Just need a little heads up.
