they're called "weights" for a reason...did u really just waste five pts

Well, weights are suppose to be heavy, but try starting with weights that are not too heavy (but challenging). I use three pounds right now and it is challenging for me. You need to move up your weights as you get stronger.

They usually say how heavy they are on them.

Use lower weight ones if those you are using are bothering you.

They "seem" that way because they're putting unaccustomed stress on your body and muscles.

It depends on the size and amount you have. These items are of metal, and used by weight lifters. They are of solid weight...next!
