There is a Neurologist here in town, Dr. P.D. Patel (the neurologist who worked on Christopher Reeves).

My husband has been referred to him, but we are trying to figure out why he is listed in the phone book under "Physicians & Surgeons-Neurology (Nervous System) It says under this ad for him Neurology & Psychiatry-- E.M.G & E.E.G.
**AND** he is also listed in the phone book under "Physicians & Surgeons-Psychiatry" It says under this ad P.D. Patel, MD. Psychiatry & Neurobehavioral Medicine.

What we can't figure out is: is he is a psychiatrist and he is going to try and say that all the medical problems are caused by psychiatric problems/issues (which my husband has none, except for a little bit of depression-- but he's been disabled for over 10 years and can't work-his disability is getting worse-so a little depression would be normal) but I dont get it, does it just mean that he is a psychiatrist too?
I know this sounds like a dumb question.

I am not talking about actually working with the drugs or anything, but is there anything that a 16 year old would be able to do at a pharmacy, wether it is just working as a cashier or whatever. I am looking for a job in which i can get some kind of experience working in a medical type job, no matter how unrelative the actual job i would be doing is. Any suggestions?

Almost a month ago I have painful urination and painful swallowing. I've decided to go to the doctor the next afternoon since hospitals are closed on sundays. That night I have experienced fevers and chills aside from the above symptoms. I've taken paracetamol to alleviate the symptoms. I went to the doctor which gave me a CBC and medications (cipro) for gonorrhea and urethritis. I've been well after several days taking the medicine but the results of my CBC indicate that I had elevated neutrophils and lympcytes 2% below normal when I was checked up. The other components of my blood were normal. Would the decrease in my lymphocyte be caused of my illness?

ok, so i have been dieting and working out frequently for little over a month now. I have been cutting my calories down to 1200-1500 a day, mostly involving fruits and veggies. and burning about 2000-3000 calories a week.I have lost 7 lbs but havent lost any for a few weeks Shouldnt i be losing weight with what i am doing?

For breakfast i only have a milo, for luch - 2 minute 98% fat free noodles, afternoon tea - scone, dinner - something like spagehtii or a sausage in bread with about 12 oven chips etc. Also i do 20 minutes of aerobic exercise each day. Am i eating enough?

People tell me I should gain weight, but I am happy with what my weight currently is.

I weight 109-110 lbs and I am 5'5''.

Personal reasons have forced me to spend time for two years at home after college - without working. My college was a great institution - with universal respect, - but now I feel I am sinking into shame and oblivion with each passing day - and my parents don't understand. I smile and talk well with everyone around me, but there's a fault line inside that I push each time I get the blues- and that is very often. People look and me and start wondering aloud - and that still doesn't make any difference to my (single) parent. I start fantasising useless dreams - like turning the clock and starting school again - or I work myself into a self-sustaining loop of anger. Somebody help! Please!
