ok, my brother weights 235 pounds and hes 16....hes a pre-diabetic, and overweight.his doctor wants him to be at about 185-190 pounds by the next time i take him in to see her(in july). he tries to work out everyday but his eating habit isn't every good,i started to give him these fiber pills-weight management. and he hasn't realy lost any weight can someone tell me a fast and safe affective way i can get him 2 lose weight fast.

try the low carb diet: I dropped 30 pounds in 3 months. now statistically men tend to loss weight faster than woman, i think its true. so your brother will lose more, for sure.
How to count carbs: look at the nutrition table in the back of your product, count the carbs subtract the dietary fiber and the sugar alcohols from the original carbs of the nutrition table. (NOT the sugar, but a substitute sugar it usually says sugar alcohol.)

Low Carb Diet:
BE VERY STRICT FOR THE FIRST TWO WEEKS!
The rules of the 14 day rapid fat loss foods:
1. 20 grams of carbs is your limit. When only this amount of carbs goes into your body you begin to burn fat.
2. Eat until full not stuffed.
3. Stay only with the approved foods. DON'T cheat with just a little sugar or chocolate.
4. Stick with pure protiens and pure fats.

FOODS ALLOWED:
-eggs
-meat
-cheese
-vegetables:lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, mushrooms, peppers, radish, spinach, avocado, zucchini, broccoli, cilantro
-DRINKS: diet soda, tea, black coffee
**DRINK 2 LITERS OF WATER EVERY DAY!**
-DESERT: SUGAR FREE JELLO WITH COOL WHIP (its so delicious!)
-use substitute sugar
-powdered milk (for coffee) is about 1 carb per tsp.

After the first 14 days(keep the count of 20 grams) one can eat SUGAR FREE everything; for example chocolate. LOW CARB bread (i suggest the SUGAR FREE whole wheat bread) and low carb tortillas, pita pockets. Peanuts are a great low carb snack. FRUITS: those that grow from a vine; for example strawberries, grapes, raspberries etc.
*Its pretty easy after the first 14 days its like if you weren't on a diet; one can eat anything (but within the 20 gram count per day).

Don't forget to exercise, its very important! make it habit to do exercise, at least 3 times a week. drink lots of water!

I observed the guide to be very informative and convenient to read. I've misplaced 17 kilos in 12 days, i am just worried that i am dropping too much weight, too quickly. I will admit i have not followed the consultant precisely. I am no longer sticking flawlessly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mainly) and doing very little activity, but the weight continues flying off. It naturally works and if i would adopted it exactly I think it will scare the dwelling daylights out of me because of the amount that i'd lose. So thanks once more for the information. I've in no way purchased whatever like this earlier than seeing that they are on the whole full of trash, but 3WD has been a first-rate surprise. Get began in these days!

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

If he won't do the work he needs to do for himself, you cannot do anything that will make up for that. Not to mention that you are teaching him that he can always depend on someone else to do his job for him. He will never become independent if this continues.
I am surprised to hear his doctor wants him to lose 45 to 50 pounds in such a short time. That's an amount for a year's worth of weight loss, if that!
By the way, a pre-diabetic is a diabetic who can still control his diabetes with diet and exercise. At 16 he can really make a difference in his health and his future in more ways than I can list.
Encourage him to go to diabetes groups. Support groups have lots of teens in them, and they make a real difference in the lives of diabetics.
Trivia: the friends and family of diabetics are called "Type 3 Diabetics." That's because you all make so much difference to us all.

i usually give this advice to people who wants to lose weight fast:
"
i lost 15lbs in 5 days

1)jogging every morning (haw far? depends on your stamina)
2)tae bo 5 times a week (1hr)
3)hot yoga twice a week (1hr 30mins - to strech and relax your muscles from tae bo and jogging)

eat healthy and drink at least 80 ounces of water a day.

eating jalapenos and taking 3 table spoons of apple cider vinegar will boost your metabolism!

-i feel toned and really healthy =) "

but im not sure if its a great exercise for kids who are pre-diabetic, im not a doctor so if he wants to try this..ask his doctor first, k?

hi well he need to learn good eating habits. He needs to have a good breakfast ( fruts, milk and juice) this is the most important meal of the day.and if he gets hungry have a little snack. and have a good lunch too. And a light dinner like some cereal or something.. hope this can help good luck....&hearts
