find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats and it will tell you how many calories a day you need to maintain your weight. take 300-400calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
eat 5-6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones.
5-8 servings of fruit and vegetables a day.
8 glasses of water a day.
4-6 times a week cardio work out for 30-50min plus light weight training.
no junk food, no sodas, no white flour (white bread, pasta, cookies, cakes etc)

You need to eat vegetables for almost every meal. For breakfast have a protein nutries breakfast bar. Have at least two. Or have a protein cereal. For lunch have salad and vegetable soup. And for dinner have fish and vegetables.Don't ever eat when you are watching tv. It makes you want to eat more. When you start doing this and exirse every day you will get in the habit and loose weight. Try not to eat lots of junk food. Don't eat junk food at least for one day and you won't eat junk food till you loose weight. Dont for get to drink milk everyday. Something not more than 200 calories.4-6 times a week cardio work out for 30-50min plus light weight training.

Don't purchase things that are high in saturated fats, just normal fats. I have a bowl of high protein cereal and a bannana, if I do get hungry later I have a orange. The citrius acid is good for the skin plus it gives you energy.

for breakfast eat plain oatmeal, with fresh strawberries with either orange juice or milk
for lunch had some type of meat, chicken is good. with a salad but use no salad dressing or use very little
for dinner have whatever but just eat in porportions.

forget it do what makes you happy,the chioce to diet if your,s and not by peer pressure would be good,, but if it was your chioce you would now what to eat and what not to , give you one hint never miss breakfast ,
