I just made fresh basil/spinach/garlic scape pesto. (I didn't have enough of any of them to make just one kind).
It came out to about a cup of pesto. I froze half of it and I'm keeping the other half for dinner this week.
How much should I mix in with a pound of pasta, pound of chicken, and some veggies?

For the past year or so, I have been having to babysit my brother and cook for him, almost everyday. (I'm 15, by the way..) I almost always make something in the microwave, and a few times I make pasta and sauce, or ham and cheese omellites.
My mom teases me about my cooking skills, because almost everything I cook burns, has to much water in it, needs sugar, needs salt, or all of the above. I can't even make a simple Jello, because I somehow put to much water in it. I have tried to make steak, but then I forgot about it, and it burned into a crisp.

So, what is an easy meal, for either lunch or dinner, that I can make with ease?
Oh, and it can't include mushrooms, olives, or anything spicy.

Thanks in advance!

Whenever iI Make Meatloaf, when i take it out of the oven, it is cracked in half almost. What causes this? Also, it is moist, but a little too moist.( almost mushy) I would like it a little firmer. I use 2 pounds of ground chuck, and 2 extra large eggs, and 2 1/2 cups of bread crumbs.. Thanks for any and all replies.

I need to use sun dried tomatoes in a recipe, but I do not want them to be oil packed. So, I bought the dry ones. I need to know how to hydrate them and give them some more flavor. I put them in a bowl of water... but the tomatoes didn't taste all that great... what should I add to the water?
