some apricot jam with chopped green onions (including the tails), tomato paste, oregano, a little ginger, and salt and pepper to taste. You could brush it on, or add a little water to soak the chicken in for a couple of hours, I usually let the chicken soak.

very simple is olive oil and lemon juice but not for too long or acid will starty to cook chicken 1 hour tops
Ps marinades can be brushed on after like a baste while food is cooking BUT mainly the food sits IN the marinade for a while before cooking so flavour soaks in.
other marinades mostly involve oil and herbs or spices.
tarragon and rosemary are both good with chicken (separately one or the other) along with standard stuff like tyme with all meat and black pepper and GARLIC
no salt until the moment before grilling

make a killer mojo marinade with olive oil, lemon juice, honey, adobo seasoning and Sazon seasoning! use 3 parts oil to 1 part lemon juice. smashed garlic and minced cilantro is essential. use seasonings to taste...the stronger the marinade the less time you refrigerate it. toss the breasts in the marinade and set in your refrigerator. usually 4 hours is perfect. have some smaller pieces to test grill so you don't over marinate! you will love this!!!
do not just brush it on, marinate the breasts!
if you pound out the breasts you may only need to marinate them for an hour! be careful, and you will have the best breasts in the union!

I personally like to put seasoning I have at home and, depending on the amount of chicken, fresh squeezed orange juice.

1) Soy sauce, minced garlic and a touch of cayanne pepper.
2)Balsamic vinegar, olive oil and a mix of dried herbs (oregano, parsley and basil work good)
3) Orange juice and rosemary.
