Yes, it should be. Ham has a lot of preservatives in it, so that keeps it good for a long time. When lunch meat starts to go bad, it gets a funny odor and it gets slimy. If you can pull the pieces apart without seeing a thin slimy film and it smells good, you're ok! Make your Dagwood and enjoy!!

unopened packages such as the one described has an expiry date and should be kept in a refrigerator. Check the expiry date. Once open, use it as soon as possible and keep refrigerated. Plain common sense

Only if it has been frozen. It does not matter that it has unopened. There are still bacteria that are in the meat and in the package. I would throw it away

As long as it has been refrigerated properly with all of the preservatives that are packed into it, it should be good for quite a while. It could last almost forever if you have kept it frozen.

eeeek.. i wouldn't eat it, ham is one of the meats the spoils the fastest... and i bet you didn't know this but there are little worms that live in ham...so just because of that i definately would not eat it.. regardless of if it's unopened.

if you check the experation date and its under it, then its ok.
Its like the experation date is 8-23-07 and today is 7-24-07 then it would be ok to eat.
