My wife made some wonderful biscuits and gravy. Now we have a bunch of gravy left and want to store it, but we are not sure how.

I put ours in a gladware container with a lid and pop it in the fridge. It congeals, but when heated and thinned out a bit with more cream/beef broth/whatever, it's good as new. And the flavors get even better!

I have to agree with Glenn. I've been making gravy for biscuits (or bread when we were in a hurry) for 44 years and you really can't store it well. It will congeal and get weird when you try to heat it up on the stove. Now a microwave may do the trick. I don't know for sure because I never have any left-over (I grew up in a house with 7 people -- 3 generations).

Left over gravy is not worth keeping. Throw it out. If you keep it and try to warm it up you will come back and give me the best answer===this from a long time cook.

Waste not, want not. With the price of groceries nowadays, it's not so easy throwing out perfectly good food. You can store it in the fridge for a couple of days if you know you are going to eat it. You can also put it in freezer bags and freeze it. I like to put things like that in quart sized bags for the days when I know I'm not going to be home and I'll take out the bag and set it in the fridge to thaw for my husband to heat and eat. That includes the biscuits, too.

It keeps fine if you just put it into a container, and put some saran wrap over it tightly. When you want some more of it, just heat it up at a low simmer in a sauce pan with something to thin it out a little (water, milk, cream), since it gets thick when it cooks. It tastes just as good as when you made it originally.
