i need to cook dinner for the next 6 days, and i need recipes before my parents ask for the grocery list, which they will do in less than 20 minutes.
anything will be fine. but my family does like fruits and vegtables.
deserts will be good too. my dad gets a sweet tooth about an hour to two hours after dinner.

1. Puree onions and celery.
2. In a large sauce pot combine the puree and the remaining ingredients and simmer for 25 minutes. Remove and use as desired. Great on meats, tofu, even vegetables!

1. Place the sliced strawberries in the baked pie crust.
2. In a saucepan, combine water, cornstarch, and sugar. Cook over medium heat; stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil, (this should take about 7 minutes) then reduce heat to low, and cook for 2 minutes more, or until thick and clear.
3. Add the Jell-o, and stir until dissolved; spoon over strawberries in pie crust.
4. Chill in the refrigerator until set.
5. Serve with dollops of the Cool Whip. Enjoy!

1. In a medium bowl, combine tuna, celery, green onions, and water chestnuts.

1. Put rice in med pan with water. Heat until boiling. Cover and reduce heat to low. Or, if you have a rice cooker, that would work!
2. While rice is cooking -- In mixing bowl, smash corned beef and eggs until blended. I just use a fork.
3. Pour a few Tbsp of oil in nonstick frying pan on med-hi.
4. When oil is hot, lower heat to medium and drop beef and egg mixture in pan. Fit as many patties in pan at a time. It is ok if they touch a little bit.
5. When patties appear to have a liquid plane, flip over and fry until oil becomes foamy for a minute or so. Basically when egg is fully cooked!
6. Then move cooked patties to plate lined with paper towel or napkin to soak excess oil.
7. Serve over steamed rice and top with ketchup!

2 lbs baked beans
1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans
1 (15 ounce) can butter beans

1/4 cup brown sugar

Sloppy Joes. 2 lbs. hamburger 1/2 c. onion, chopped 1 c. catsup 1/4 c. prepared mustard 1 can Chicken Gumbo soup (the secret ingredients; do not omit) 1/4 c. water 1 tbsp. salt, less if wished 1/2 tsp. pepper Cook the onion in a small amount of fat, if using fresh; if using dry, just mix into the wet ingredients. Put hamburger and all other ingredients into large skillet and allow to simmer about an hour, stirring occasionally. Use to fill buns, toasted or plain. May be made up ahead of time and kept warm if a large number are to be served. This recipe also doubles easily by just doubling each ingredient. Chocolate Pancakes 2 cups flour 3 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup sugar (less may be used, to taste) 1 cup milk 4 teaspoon butter, melted 2 eggs 4-6 teaspoons cocoa LASAGNE 1 lb. ground beef 1 clove garlic, minced 1 tbsp. basil 1 1/2 tsp. salt (or less) 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste 10 oz. lasagne noodles 2 eggs 3 c. cottage or Ricotta cheese 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese 2 tbsp. parsley flakes 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1 lb. Mozzarella cheese, sliced Brown meat slowly, spoon off fat. Add next 5 ingredients, simmer uncovered 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cook noodles until tender, drain, rinse. Beat eggs, add remaining ingredients except Mozzarella. Layer 1/2 the noodles in 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Spread with 1/2 cottage cheese filling, add 1/2 Mozzarella and 1/2 the meat. Repeat. Bake at 375 degrees for about 30 minutes. I have below put ingredients and instructions for dinner and dessert...enjoy....

Dinner:
Things you will need:
Steak
Corn
Butter (spray kind)
Pepper
Mashed Potatoes (ready made or not)

Instructions:
(for best results use a grill)
Just cook steak like you would usually cook it... however you cook it!
Place corn on grill and cook like usual but 5 mins before its done you must spray with butter..... once it is done spray it again with butter and then sprinkle pepper on it
If you are making mashed potatoes from scratch you must use red potatoes and mash the skin in with it and add a bit of NON spray butter and salt...if you want you can add pepper. Cook in Microwave.

Dessert:
Ingredient's:
One of those ice cream bars that are covered in chocolate
Raspberries (frozen)
chocolate sauce
perhaps whipped cream....

Instructions:
Place the ice cream bar on plate and frozen raspberries in a bowl. Put raspberries in microwave for 1 min..or until warm.
Once raspberries are done pour them on top of the ice cream and add chocolate sauce and/or whipped cream if desired.

Heuvos Rancheros is great and easy to make(eggs with enchilada sauce and cheese) it is easy to modify if you don't have say---- the cactus. http://www.cooks.com/rec/search?q=huevos+rancheros
Frittata is easy so are tacos and spaghetti sauce, green bean casserole is easy and brocoli cheese casserole is always a big hit in my family. Baked chicken with cream of mushroom soup is good to.
And pasta with spiinach and packaged alfredo sauce is good. some of this you can just throw together. If you need a recipe; Cooks.com usually has it. Good luck

Harvest Potatoes-
1-32oz. ore-ida hash browns (cubed) not shredded
1-10oz. can condensed cream of chicken (you can use celery, onion, or mushroom )
1-8oz. sour cream
2C.-shredded cheddar cheese (sharp is my fav.)
1 1/2tsp.- salt
1/2C.-butter or margarine (melted)
1 med. onion (yellow works best) - diced
-mix all ingred. and place in a 13x9 baking dish (metal or glass) keep in mind that glass will cook faster so you may need to shorten cooking time.
Before placing in a pre-heated 350` oven:

TOPPING
Mix 2C. - crushed cornflakes (not frosted)
1/4C. - butter or margarine (melted)
Spread over casserole and bake for ~45min. (golden brown)

Can be used as a side dish to any entree or for breakfast, add sausage. Enjoy!

Most of these meals are easy to prepare, and you can get the recipes online or in a cookbook. If you need a specific recipe, let me know, and I'll add it to this post.

Day 1 -- Spaghetti with meat sauce, tossed salad, garlic bread, homemade cake with icing

Shopping list: spaghetti, jar of spaghetti sauce, bag of salad greens, tomatoes and other salad fixings, salad dressing, loaf of French bread, garlic salt, butter, cake mix, tub of icing

Day 2 -- hamburgers, French fries, green bean casserole, ice cream and cookies

Shopping list: ground beef, buns, frozen French fries, 2 cans of green beans, 1 can mushroom soup, 2 can Durkee's French fried onion rings, ice cream, cookies

Day 3 -- beef stew with biscuit topping, buttered corn, sliced tomatoes and cucumbers, left over desserts from previous two days

Shopping list: canned beef stew, tube of biscuits, canned corn, cucumbers (save a few tomatoes from Day 1 menu)

Day 4 -- Baked pork chops, stuffing, veggie tray with dip, apple pie with ice cream

Shopping list: pork chops, Stove Top stuffing mix, fresh veggies, spinach or dill dip, apple pie, ice cream

Day 5 -- Tuna noodle casserole, green peas, fruit salad, chocolate pudding with whipped topping

Shopping list: canned tuna, boxed macaroni and cheese or Tuna Helper, canned green peas, canned fruit salad, instant pudding, milk, Cool Whip

Day 6 -- Chef salads, bread sticks, baked apples with cinnamon.

Shopping list: bag of mixed salad greens, deli ham and turkey, eggs for boiled eggs, left over veggies from the veggie tray, cheese, apples (top with left over ice cream or Cool whip)

Cherry Cola Chicken

INGREDIENTS
2 cups hickory smoke flavored barbeque sauce
1 (2 liter) bottle cherry cola
1 cup grape jelly
1 (4 pound) whole chicken, cut into 6 pieces

DIRECTIONS
In a Dutch oven, large enough to hold your chicken, combine the barbeque sauce, 1 liter of cola and grape jelly. Add the chicken and pour in more cola if needed to cover it. Bring to a boil, then simmer over medium-low heat for 1 hour, adding more cola as needed to keep the chicken covered.
Preheat a grill for medium heat. Remove the chicken from the sauce, and place on the grill.
Cook, turning frequently for about 20 minutes, just until the skin is crispy. Heat the leftover sauce over high heat and boil for about 10 minutes to serve alongside the chicken.

CHILI CHEESE BURGERS
1 lb. ground beef
1 c. cheddar cheese
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. Season-All
2 tbsp. milk
Form in 4 patties. Broil or grill.

FUSS FREE RAVIOLI AND CHEESE BAKE

1 jar 16oz spaghetti sauce
1 can 10 oz beef broth
¼ cup zesty Italian dressing
2 pkg 9oz cheese filled raviolis
1 cup mozzarella cheese

Preheat oven to 375 Combine spaghetti sauce, broth and dressing in 13x9 backing dish. Add ravioli and mix lightly cover with foil.

Bake 50 minutes or until raviolis tender.
Remove foil, stir sprinkle with cheese let stand for 5 minutes or until cheese melts.

CUBE STEAK ITALIANO
1 lb. cube steak
1 onion
1 green pepper
2 tbsp. oil
1 c. spaghetti sauce
Slice cube steak into strips. Cut onion and pepper into strips. Saute all 3 in oil. Stir in spaghetti sauce and cover and simmer 10 minutes. Serve over egg noodles.

EASY CHEESE ENCHILADAS

Enchilada Sauce - mild, 20 oz.
8 flour tortillas
8 pieces Monterey Jack cheese, 3/4 x 3/4 x 6 inches
1 sm. can sliced black olives

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Pour small amount of sauce in bottom of 8 x 13 inch glass pan. Put small amount of sauce in a tortilla. Wrap tortilla around a cheese piece and place in pan. Do likewise for the rest of the tortillas. Pour the rest of the sauce over the tortillas and the olives also. Put the pan uncovered in the oven for 25 to 30 minutes.

EASY BBQ BAKE PORK CHOPS
10 pork chops
salt and pepper
honey barbecue sauce
one large onion finely chopped, water, large pan for baking.
Put about one inch of water in bottom of pan, add a layer of chopped onion in water, then salt and pepper pork chops on both sizes. Place pork chops on top of onion, then add a few onions on top of pork chops. Add water to cover.
Bake at 450°F about 1 hour. When nearly done, remove from oven and pour honey barbecue sauce over meat evenly. Return to oven for about 3-5 minutes on broil or long enough to brown barbecue sauce.
Serves 8-10 people.
