I usually cook the pasta with Prego Cheese or Meat sauce. I'm so tired of the plain, thin sauce. Anything I can add to make it a bit more thick?

Does anyone have a recipe of homemade caramel that will set up nicely and softly and a cooled batch of brownies. I am not looking for a frosting, just strait caramel. I have used the Cooks Illustrated version time and time again but I cant seem to heat the sugar to 360 at a low temperature without burning it. Please help, I am desperate!

I am in the process of making French onion soup for dinner. I should have known better than to make it for company before trying it myself. Anyway, company should be here any minute. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I could use to remove some of the sweetness from this otherwise great dish?

Thank you all!
