I usually cook the pasta with Prego Cheese or Meat sauce. I'm so tired of the plain, thin sauce. Anything I can add to make it a bit more thick?

If you want to try making your own sauce, there are several recipes online, just type in "spaghetti sauce recipes" in the search bar (I've included a link of different sauce recipes from Allrecipes.com). I make my own by sauteing garlic and onions in olive oil, adding a can of tomato sauce and then seasoning it up with salt, pepper, fresh basil, red pepper flakes and oregano then letting it simmer for a half hour (or longer if you like). If I'm making lasagna or something that needs a thicker sauce, I had some tomato paste. If you didn't want to bother with making a homemade sauce, then add the tomato paste to a jarred red sauce.

Good luck =o)

tomato paste... 2 tablespoons, plus throw in a little extra dried basil (1/2 teaspoon) and a little oregano (1/4 teasppon).

Also, you can let it cook down (simmer) to a thickner consistency.

If you want to put a lot more work into the sauce, then add a can of diced tomatoes, plus the tomato paste stuff mentioned above... plus any other ingredients you may like... sauteed garlic, chopped onions, mushrooms, italian sausage and bell pepper.
