Okay, so my hubby is in Iraq and constantly asks for cookies. I am sending out a couple packages this Saturday and I am making him chocolate chip cookies and peanut butter cookies. I have these cookie cutters that are heart shaped that I want to use, for Valentine's Day.

How do I use cookie cutters with the chocolate chip cookie dough? Should I cut them after I bake them? Or should I mold the dough into the cookie cutter and bake them that way? I am more or less worried how they will turn out if I don't bake them properly.

Thanks!

We are now a family of 6. I am a stay-at-home Mom, looking to make my life a little easier. I try to plan out meals for the week and I guess I just get stumped. Anyone have a "template" or something to write all down in? A place to add the groceries you need? This is just driving me crazy. I have a million cookbooks and just need a way to configured my weekly dinners! PLEASE HELP!

I'm looking for some meal/casserole ideas to feed a family of 12? I was guessing if I found something to feed 15-20, they could have leftovers. Their baby is in the hospital an hour away from where they live so no mom at home.
Any Ideas or recipes you can share??
THANKS! :)

In my microwave, I defrosted a boneless chicken breast, then placed it in a sealed plastic bag in the fridge where it has been for the last 3 days. Is it still safe to use it tonight?

Let me share this as thanks!

CRANBERRY - ORANGE NUT BREAD

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The early settlers learned to cook with cranberries from the Indians of the Cape Cod area, who added cranberries and nuts to their corn breads. Cakes of dried venison and cranberries, called pemmican, were a mainstay of the Indian diet.

1 3/4 cups flour
3/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. butter, softened
1 tbsp. grated orange peel
1 egg
1 c. cranberries, chopped
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Heat oven to 350°F.
Grease bottom of loaf pan, 9 x 5 x 3 inches. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda. Stir in butter until mixture is crumbly. Stir in orange peel, juice and egg just until all flour is moistened. Stir in cranberries and nuts. Spread in pan.

Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, 55 to 65 minutes. Loosen edges of loaf
