Hi! I have been making red velvet cake for the past several years for Christmas. In order to make it red, I had to use 2 oz. of food coloring which I was never fond of. I was just reading about the natural food coloring for dyeing the Easter eggs with either cranberry juice or red beets (after boiling). Anyway, I was wondering if there is any natrual liquid (maybe cranberry juice???) that I could use instead of McCormick's food coloring?

Many thanks!

T

I need some good, no not good; FANTASTIC dip recipes or names of some good dips at the grocery store for either crackers of any kind or chips. I like all recipes but I prefer the ones that are not too costly to make, have 5 or less ingredients, quick and easy to make, and have been tried by others and proven to be delicious

I have seen several recipes for Sausage Balls using Bisquick and Cheese. My question is: Do you prepare the sausage before rolling into balls or do you roll the raw sausage with the cheese and bisquick mix?

I am having an informal x-mas get together with some friends on Friday and decided to make my infamous ham, which I normally serve as a traditional meal with mashed potatoes, etc.

My new home is small, so I can't do a sit down thing. I work until 2:00 on Friday and people are coming at 7:00.

Any good ideas for easy, not messy (due to the informal service) and complimentary sides, dips or the like?

It needs to be quick and healthy and I have nothing in the cupboards - so starting from scratch is fine.

Normally I am full of ideas, but feeling very uninspired today.
