And I am so scared! I love him and can't picture life without him in it and he feels the same but I am scared that if we do get married we will start fighting and end up hating each other and end up getting devorced. I don't want that to happen.

When we do get angry with eachother we usually give eachother some time to pout then talk about it like reasonable adults so my brian knows that we shouldn't have to many issues but my heart gets scared about all the "what ifs" that could happen. How do you handle this? I want to be with him the rest of my life but I am just terrified!

We have been dating over 2 years and have actually lived together for most of those 2 years and we honstely haven't had any major issues aside from our grouchy periods that we get through just fine. We are both very stable, loving, understanding and best of friends so why am I so terrified?

Also I am worried about the cost of it! It seems so exspencive! I don't know if we have the funds for this.

My friend is having a very small wedding with only immediate family. Then she is having a sit down dinner at her home with family. She wants it to be intimate and memorable. And I thought this is cool, and memorable, and cost effective.
Has anyone done this or plans to do so.
I know this tradition started in the 40's to 60's I believe.

A really dear friend of mine lost her husband in Iraq 3 years ago. She's been dating her boyfriend for just over a year. She had a VERY happy marriage with her deceased hubby. she has no wish to marry again. Her first marriage ended in divorce and her second ended in death. Her boyfriend is nice, steady, handsome, romantic, sexy as you know what, and has proposed to her. They are both VERY successful business owners. So I know it's not about money. Her children love this man to death, and she does to. His family adores her as well. She has no desire to every marry again. Her boyfriend is much different then her late husband, but he makes her extremely happy. She's so afraid of something tragic happening. She's asked for my advice. I don't know what to tell her.Are there any ladies out there in her boat with the same circumstances? IF so I need some help in this case.

My fiance and I just moved to another state and I wont start working until after the wedding (Feb 9th)

All my girlfriends and family are in another state, and I am so bored and lonely! Im used to working full time plus school full time, and now I am completely isolated. He is working a lot and I am losing motivation when it comes to wedding planning, house stuff, etc, and I feel so depressed!

I want to enjoy this time for us but it is so difficult as no one is here to share it with me. I just feel like we should be so happy but instead the combination of all these factors is making us bicker with eachother, and I have no one here to help me plan or enjoy the process...ahh! Sorry i am venting but I am on here all the time and you girls always seem to have such good answers....plus I just need to get this out because I am majorly frustrated.

And do you do the same in your everyday life?

I was just curious because I was reading several responses at the Knot ripping a girl to shreds for wanting to have a dessert reception at 8pm and everyone was telling her that people expect to be fed a full meal at a wedding no matter what time it is, morning, afternoon, or evening, even if they would never do so any other day of the year.

Personally that didn't make sense to me and I have never seen it done. I can understand a full meal at a regular meal time but not at the in-between or after-dinner times.

Does anyone know the proper etiquette? Do you send thank you notes to those that attended the wedding and just thank them for sharing in your special day?
I had some people that sent a gift before the wedding and I sent a thank you note thanking them for the gift. Should I also send a note thanking them for attending the wedding?
Any suggestions appreciated.

You know that he loves you...Yet you find yourself crying and feeling miserable a LOT! Whenever you are with him, it is easy to feel okay. But whenever you are alone you are bombarded with the feeling that he doesn't even know you...That you are making a decision which you will forever have to live with...And the problem is, you have two choices. Either marry the man, or leave home since your parents and the church (which he also attends with you) will be miserable to live with afterwards.

to let him know that I am engaged to be married. I know that he still loves me and this could be very difficult for him, but I respect him and would prefer that he hear this news from me instead of one of our mutual friends. What should the email say? I keep starting it and can't figure out what to say, other than..."Just wanted to let you know that I'm engaged" which seems a little insensitive. Any help?

If I am not a virgin at my wedding, I am not wearing white, if I even get married, the white was supposed to represent purity and now anyone just wears it. Well in Asia, they were red, I think Red would be sexier, oh well!

I definitely want to have a small, beautiful destination wedding. I'm looking for opinions from other couples or wedding guests on the best places to have a destination wedding. We live in America, so really want to go somewhere outside of the USA (though we would consider Hawaii as well). I am open to any destination in the world, with the exception of:

- very very cold, icy, places
- dark and rainy places
- very commercial resorts (Sandals, Superclubs, etc)
- places that are extremely difficult to get to
- places that are very expensive to travel to (would make it too restrictive for our guests)
- places that have extremely difficult marriage license requirements for American citizens

Other than that, open to pretty much anything. We're open to beach, mountain, forest, city, tropics - whatever!

Thank you so much!

I'm looking for a poem or verse about unconditional love to write to my Nan, she may never read it but I will read it to her as she is dying. She was a wonderful lady and always had unconditional love for everyone, welcomed you in her home Nan was never rich with a lot of money but wealthy with love and caring and excepted you for what or who you are. Nan is 95 and has dementia, as we will not be buying her a gift I would like to give her words on how I feel.Any help out there I would be grateful. Thankyou A loving grand daughter

The ring has pink saphires on each side. I was looking at an emerald cut, but it might not fit the style of this ring. Thoughts? I don't want it to look cheesy.... But it did catch my eye.

Here is the link for a picture of the ring

My hubby and I were married last September in Vegas, and are now trying to plan our actual wedding ceremony in Arizona (most likely Phoneix) and I'm trying to figure out what month between Sep 07-May 08 to get married in, and I'm trying to find out the cheapest month to do it in and any ideas for a cheaper ceremony/reception in that Location.
Any inputs would be appreciated!

I've been with my fiancee for seven years and we pretty much grew up together. We've had our lives planned out for years. And we always kind of planned on when he would propose since we knew for so long that we would get married but wanted to wait because of college... So anyways, I knew it was coming.

I didn't think it was a big deal but it seems like so many others were completely suprised. I guess it would be reassuring to know that there are others who knew as well.

Please share. :)

OK, my fiance bought me an engagement ring. Dont get me wrong, it is pretty but it is not the one I wanted. It has the same size diamonds and same total weight but the setting is different. He paid the same amount on the one he bought as the one I wanted. I dont know why he just didnt get me the one I wanted! Again, same size diamonds almost the same setting. I like prong set and he got me channel set, what I said I didnt like, why are men like this? Was he not listening or what?
