The ring has pink saphires on each side. I was looking at an emerald cut, but it might not fit the style of this ring. Thoughts? I don't want it to look cheesy.... But it did catch my eye.

Here is the link for a picture of the ring

Just an update. Thank you all for reaching out and taking the time to post a comment. My girlfriend does like pink and often dresses up with something in Pink.

Seems like the majority of postings share my concerns. Will it clash with clothing other than pink, and will it hold up as a timeless piece? I do like the ring, but am on the fence. I might go with the all diamond, but it does resonate with me..... I will keep you posted with what I decide.. Thats the least I can do considering the amount of feedback I've received.

Again, Thank you all

I think it is gorgeous. However my only concern is the one you stated, if she is wearing green it might clash strangely. I would look at maybe an all diamond one. And then if you wanted to for her "something new" out of the saying something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue. You could get her a nice pink sapphire necklace.

It is obviously a beautiful ring. The only thing I can say is that I personally would prefer the ring without the pink stones. I LOVE pink, so this might surprise my boyfriend, but really I just want something more traditional that will never go out of style. But yes, it is very pretty. I guess it just depends on the preferences of the person you are planning to give it to. But since you're asking, I would say no, and to stick with something more classic. Even the same exact ring, just without the pink stones...

This is a toughie, it is a beautiful ring, and the pink makes it special and unique if she loves colored stones. Some people above me said they love colored stones and others said no way, so you really need to figure it which catagory sh efits into before you buy it...why not ask her firend sister to take her shopping and say their husband/boyfriend is getting them a new ring for Christmas, and they want her to help pick it out! Just pick someone who can keep their mouth shut and be subtle, and then you will know what her opinions are about the colors. On a side not, I personally love colored sotmes but not on engagement rings, and I love the color pink but wearing it for the rest of my life is not what I would want, what about red dresses? My fiance took me shopping for my ring and it was soooo much fun, even though i wasnt sure about it at first. lol just my opinion, it may be perfect for her, just go with your gut, good lluck!

It's beautiful and unique! I have the one in 'all diamonds'... as for the diamond shape, I'd say anything other than round would look strange, but I guess I'm just used to staring at mine, lol... If you decide on this ring, make sure you get her the matching wedding band too!

Nice ring- the pink does look striking- Does your girlfriend like pink?? also an important question!!! The problem with colour in engagement rings is that it does not always fit everything she's wearing- so make sures she really likes pink!!!!!

I think the ring is absolutely beautiful. You are very right, the emerald cut does not look right in the ring. Have you decided on a wedding band yet?

OMG, I want it! I don't think emerald cut tho, stick with the round or maybe a marquise. A former boss of mine had a ring with that setting (except it was all clear stones) with a marquise and it was really pretty.

I think it's a great ring, and the color makes it more unique.

Make sure you find out what her opinion on wedding/engagement rings is before getting it thought.

Also, remember that your first thought is usually the best thought.

If she loves you, she'll love what you picked for her. Even if she doesn't love it...you probably love her still for changing her mind all the time.

Its a beautiful ring but maybe not appropriate as an engagement ring since you hope she will wear this daily and it may clash with the majority of her ward robe. Possibly as the 5 or 10 year anniversary gift, but the engagement one, in my opinion, should be a neutral color and style that's wearable daily.

It's beautiful!!! Considering she wears a lot of pink that will be nice. I wouldn't worry too much about it clashing with other colors she may wear either.
