i think all the best man pays for is his tux. the grooms parents may want to help out with the honeymoon, but they are not obligated too.

No! The best man gets his tux, and makes sure the appropriate people are tipped. He does the bachelor party also. Why would the best man pay for the honeymoon? The only other duties of the best man is to hold onto the rings until the right moment, and give a congrats speech at the reception.

The best man organizes the bachelor party, stands next to the groom (during the wedding) and (sometimes, if no ring bearer) holds the ring.

The best man usually chips in a larger share to the bachelor party because someone always tries to get out of paying. He is expected to give a wedding present (just like everyone else who attends).

The groom usually gives all groomsmen a present, but the best man gets a nicer one. Same goes for maid of honor and bridesmaids.

If a best man helped with the honeymoon he'd be awesome, but it's not expected or part of any tradition I've heard of.

I was a best man. My job was to try and convince the groom he shouldn't marry the woman. I mean, all she seemed to be interested in was what she could get for free. And I paid the guy with the camera that followed the bride around on the night of her bachelorette party. I didn't use the pictures against her until she had an affair and tried to take my friend to the cleaners in court. The judge didn't care so much but it was nice to see her minister father's face when he found the gang bang pictures of her on the sanctuary door! But I didn't pay for the honeymoon at all.

Uh, no... the honeymoon, as well as the wedding expenses, are all paid for by the couple.
The Best Man usually just rents a tux, may help with some things prior to the wedding, at the wedding sometimes he holds the rings til needed. His main job is to be a legal witness to the ceremony, and support the couple.

No ... the Best Man does not have to pay for the "honeymoon".

The most the Best Man should pay for is his tux .. unless the Groom is paying for the tux.

The Best Man could give a wedding gift of his choosing.

No way Jose lol you two or your parents will pay for the honey moon! This is almost comical that you even thought this lol no offense taken I hope but where did you hear of such a thing? The best man is responsible for his tux and for the bachelor party, and a damn good speech at the reception!

The bestman doesn't pay for the honeymoon. He only pays for the bachelor party (usually with the rest of the groomsmen chipping in too) and his tux.

No. traditionally the Best Man gives the pastor/judge/reverend/priest/rabbi etc his fee for officiating the ceremony-often the groom hands that over to the best man to give to the clergyman/judge.....and holds on to the bride's wedding ring during the ceremony until it's needed....but pay or help pay for the Honeymoon? Absolutely NOT...that bill belongs lock, stock & barrel to the groom and don't let anyone else bamboozle ya into anything else.

The bestman doesn't pay for the honeymoon, at all.

If anything all he might ever contribute towards would be suit hire, but I doubt that. He may have to pay towards the bachelor party
