I am going to a wedding in 3 weeks. I bought a pretty, semi formal dress that could be described as gold or wheat. I just found out the bride is going to be wearing a light champagne colored dress. Will this be too close in color to her dress? I know you aren't supposed to wear white to avoid upstaging the bride, but will my gold dress be okay?

Well I decided to have my (ONLY) Sister as my MOH--it's turning out to be a nightmare....she isn't helpful and is uninvolved. I understand she can't afford to help financially and I didn't expect her to but how about some support? All this stress shouldn't she be there for moral support? I even have to keep reminding her she has a balance on her BM Dress....Ergh! Anyone else going through similar situations?

Hi!

I have a gorgeous wedding dress that I do not want to get rid of, but I don't know what else to do with it! I hate to get rid of a dress after paying so much for it and only wearing it once!
Is there any way to keep the dress but turn it into something that could be used or seen?

No smart-a** answers either. I am married to the man I love and wont be using it again as a wedding dress. :-)

So as excited as I am to soon be Mrs. Garcia, an army wife, lately as we have been planning the wedding we seem to be bickering alot. not big fights but little ones. I am not questioning if we are meant to be what so ever! So please don't say that. But soon after my wedding my fiancee is going to be deployed to Iraq and also in septemeber we lost our unborn baby to heaven. I am wondering if the stress from planning the wedding, which by the way was pushed early because of his deployment, him leaving, and losing our baby could possibly be causing these small disagreements? Has anyone else experienced this kind of problem when under alot of stress? And what can I do to make things get back to how they used to be? I know I am struggling with post partum depression. But in my heart he is the one. And marrying him is the only thing I have ever been so sure of. Thanks guys!!!

Christmas is coming and I usually ask for a ring or other jewelery gift from my beloved. I have been looking at black diamonds on-line & find them intriguing - but am not sure about them - after all, they have no real clarity, do they, like a real white diamond? Do they have much value? Has anyone bought a black diamond? If so, what do you think of it - do you like it? I need some ideas for wedding songs. No jazz, r&b, or country. Mellow rock is good. Oldies are good too. We're going to use some Cat Stevens songs (don't laugh) so something that goes with that would be good. We want to be unique. Thanks!

Here is my problem, my future husband has 2 neices that he is very close to that are the ages for a jr. bridesmaid and a flower girl. however I have 3 very close family friends and there daughters 2 are the ages for being a flower girl and one is the age to be a jr. bridesmaid. i don't want my wedding party to look like a elementry school play! so i have 3 amazing girls and i need to pick one for the flower girl and i have 2 amazing girls to be the jr. bridesmaid. and i only have 2 bridesmaids the maid of honor and a regular bridesmaid......what do i do !?!?!?!

ok i have like $2000 we'll spend about $500 on the honeymoon, so for the rest of the wedding stuff like food, drinks and clothing, wedding favors, the chuppa and of course the legal fees so ill have like $1,500 for this, is this going to be possable for a wedding of about 50 to 80 poeple. we dont have to worry about the place we haveing it at my parents house so that will be free, but with all the other stuff is it going to be possable to do all this other for $1,500????

I bought 12 eiffel tower vases frosted white 28". I also bought 280 white feathers and 45 black feathers. The feathers are exceptionally good. There the best feathers you can buy. These are first quality ostrich plumes that have been bleached white and run from about 21 to 25 inches long.

I checked on ebay and they are selling their feathers of the same length for $7.50 a piece. I paid $3.00 for each. I want to sell them but should I mark the feathers up? They are new and you can't even tell I used them. For all of my feathers it would be $975. On ebay they are selling theres for $2587.50 for that many.

FYI: I got a great deal on the feathers which is why mine are so much cheaper.

Anyway, back to my question. I want to sell them but should I sell them for $3.00 or should I up it? No silly comments please. What do you think?

My boyfriend went to order my engagement ring on Tuesday. When he went to pay for it his check declined.. He called the bank because he has money in it and they had put a hold on it since he hadn't used his savings account for over a year. They told him it was fine to use. He went back last night to order it again and the same thing happened. He is waiting on the bank to call him back? Does anyone else think this is just a bad sign and maybe it isn't right?? My boyfriend doesn't believe in stuff like this, but I do.. What are your thoughts??

My husband and me didn't get a honeymoon, because of his family visiting. I didn't mind at the time. But now weve been considering going on a private honeymoon just the two of us, without our 4 year old or the babies I'm pregnant with. We would need to be within an hours driving distance because of our son and the babies I'm pregnant with. My family will be taking care of the kids for us.

There is a place in Sedona, Arizona that is a resort. you can get a mud wrap, full body massage, exercise, wireless internet the whole works. This sounds like a heavenly place for us to go and have a private romantic time.

Opinions Please.

The facts:
We haven't found a venue or put down deposits, we are just looking so we still have alot of options.
Our list is pushing 250 and the chances are good that we would have about 175-200 attendees.
We could go for a larger venue and not cut the list, but that means a standard catering hall that has multiple events per day (some simultaneous).
We are leaning towards two really beautiful settings - renting a mansion or a playhouse. So opting for the bigger venue would mean alot more decorating costs as the mansion & playhouse both have a great look that could stand alone without decorating as heavily. We'd also have to pay to feed more people.
We are starting to separate the guest list into priority and try to cut the "& Guest" to see how low we can get. We still might not get to under 150 attendees that way.
So, what are your thoughts? Start looking for a bigger venue or just start hacking the list?

My fiance and I are having our photos retaken on Saturday.
I'm hoping the photographer will pose us...my fiance and I are a bigger couple and the last photographer didn't pose us...and we had some pretty bad pictures...we told her we didn't like them and she flipped out on us (we were NOT rude to her) she wouldn't retake them...she called me and my fiance fat and wrote a bunch of nasty things about us on her myspace blog (she was forced to take them down)...

We found a GREAT photographer she's done great work, but Jason and I are still a little nervous as we were burned pretty bad...so i mean, what are some good poses for some bigger people? He's also 6 foot and im 5'2''

Ive done everything till date im in my 20s for parents & sibling.Ive given all money i had to buy car,house,loans but my sibling is very good remembers everything.Ive done is always there for me like making plans for holidays so i can have a break or financially offer piggybank money & emotionally being there for me.Ive even paid my own way through school,college for 2degrees etc.But my parents dont care at all they want me to be with them dont let me go out or take a holiday they want to come along with me.

Now that talk of my marriage is coming up except my man whose been with me for years 2 other guys who proposed marriage to me decided against it after meeting talking to my parents due to them being this way.My parents dont care if im married or not wont help me by paying back money taken or my inheritance so i can have decent wedding or meet talk to my in future in laws or marriage or my man.

What do u think?

Hey guys ok first off thanks to everyone who answered my other questions I wish I could pick everyone ask best answer! But heres another one! For my six brides maids I am having jade color dresses 3 in each one of the syles in the links below. If you go to the links on the side you can select the colors from tabs on the side of the dress to see the Jade color. The other color for the ribbons on each dress will be a pink. However I can not pick which of their pinks look best with the jade! The maid of honor will be wearing the opposite with a pink dress and jade bow. How do you think that will look and which color of pink do you think will look best with jade? Thanks in advance!
