I called the place i bought my dress from this morning to check to see if my bridesmaid that is MIA has called, showed up, anything. Nothing...the consultant told me the dresses HAVE TO BE ORDERED THIS WEEK!!!!! So i got upset because this one bridesmaid was supposed to meet us last week and she didn't, no call no show basically (she lives fairly close to the shop). Anyways...they've got all the girls phone numbers, The consultant said she was going to call her and give her a 'courtesy' call saying the dresses have to be ordered this week, if need be we'll go ahead and order without her but she needs to catch up quickly if she's gonna be in the wedding, otherwise all the girls will have to pay a 20 dollar rush fee and the seamstresses will require more as well.

This is the same bridesmaid that told me i had six months and to calm down....I explained that to the lady on the phone and she was like "No honey, these dresses will take three months to come in....

My mom wants to find a place to donate her wedding dress to a good cause. The problem is, it's from her wedding 25 years ago, and I can't find a charity that that'll accept wedding dresses this old! Well, I take that back, I found one that makes burial shrouds and gowns for "heavenly angels." My mom kinda freaked out about that one! We live in Florida, if that helps at all. Any advice?

I do photography for a side business- weddings and such. I just shot a friend of a friend's wedding today. Cut him an awesome deal on a last minute wedding with a mail order bride. He did not pay me (I am usually paid prior to the start). The entire family was incredibly rude. I was pretty much hired by my friend- do I deal with him or the groom? I will not give him the photos until payment is paid in full. Thanks!

I am getting married to the love of my life, our wedding is going to be quite formal, What i need for input is this...
My best friend is a guy, I want him to stand up for me, how do i get him beside me as my "maid of honor" with out him looking gay and still having a formal wedding. I couldnt imagine anyone but him being with me on my day. I know he will say yes to it, but i dont want to humiliate him either!
Is there any other way to have him stand with me? The grooms side is taken and besides that, he is my best friends not my fiance's... im sooo confused.

Ok, so my sis's wedding is in July and I'm not using protection right now. I was wondering which type of dress I should be thinking to get. She wants to order the dresses in December. Should I ask if she will let me wait to order my dress until a few months before the wedding just so I know which one to get or what else would you recommend doing?

My uncle is getting married at the age of 43 to a 48 year old woman whom I've never met. I have seen my uncle exactly once in the past six years. I have a lovely silver frame I am giving them but I thought about giving a basket of all natural biodegradable wonderful smelling home products. Air freshener, a plug in freshener, wipes, hand soaps, all-purpose cleaner etc. Personally this would be a gift that I would LOVE to receive. But I didn't know if it would be bad taste or not. Any thoughts?

I'm getting married in November of 2008! Unfortunately, I have to do everything by myself because my fiance is in the military and will be overseas until August. We have a budget of $5,000 which has to cover EVERYTHING from the dress to the cake and everything in between. We would like to get married in a church; and we like the idea of spending the night before and having the reception in a nice hotel. We do not want anything having to do with the outdoors. I have checked the knot and some other resources, but everything seems a little out of my price range and is outside. Please offer any suggestions you can think of! Help! Thanks!

What would be your dream wedding! What dress would you wear? Where would it be? Go wild! I love to hear what people want as their dream wedding. But if you already had a dream wedding tell me that too. The one with a lot of detail: 10 points, right here!

So I finally picked music for walking down the isle http://www.last.fm/music/Johann+Pachelbel/_/Canon+in+D+Major

Now my problem is this.... I want to be able to dance at the reception and of course most of my friends and family will too. My soon to be in-laws are extremely old school and I am trying to be respectful to them. I need to find music that has no suggestion to sex... etc. I think that I find one and then one word is ruling it out. I may be able to go in an edit some of the songs but I wanted to see what others could think of. I plan on having all types of music at the wedding however we prefer R&B. I listen mostly to the Christian R&B but wanted to add other things in the mix...that people are used to hearing and love. My soon to be father in law is a pastor and we have invited many of his friends and colleagues.

I have a few of the following songs in mind:

Alicia Keys - No One
Justin Timberlake - Until the end of time
I have to edit some Neyo songs : (

Okay so I'm going to a wedding this Sunday.
I don't have a dress nor am I going to wear one in this cold weather.
I was wondering if there is a way to look dressy and look appropriate for a wedding.
Can someone put together an outfit with clothes maybe from stores like Forever 21 or other stores that sell dressy type clothes that aren't in the high price range?
I'm 16
I'm asian, so I have a golden skin color
I'm 5'1"
I can't wear anything that shows too much skin (of course)

Thanks in advance!

My fiance told me that his ex-girlfriend started messaging him on MySpace. I was a little curious so... I did some snooping. One of the messages he wrote to her leads me to believe that he may have been sleeping with her still, after he and I started an exclusive relationship four years ago. I don't have any doubts that this is continuing... but I want to know what happened before... and I want the truth... considering we're getting married in May, I think I deserve the truth. Should I confront him? Should I be ashamed of my snooping, considering what I uncovered?!

I went to a wedding last weekend (brother of my fiancee) and we have had 3 weddings in the last 2 1/2 months in the family... (one of which is ours coming up in 2 weeks). My children and my fiancee were all in the wedding... Due to the cost of out of town hotel rooms, 2 tux rentals, gas to get there, food while we were there, a flowergirl dress and various other expenses...( home bills ) I didn't have the time to pick one up nor money to give a card at that time. (which was also the case with his sister) I planned on sending one this weekend with a check in it... How rude is it that the groom called us and asked why we didn't give them a card... (this happened the next morning as we were driving home) Then he called his parents and sister and complained to them also!!!! I thought you had up to one year to send a wedding gift! Am I wrong to feel offended???
