So I finally picked music for walking down the isle http://www.last.fm/music/Johann+Pachelbel/_/Canon+in+D+Major
Now my problem is this.... I want to be able to dance at the reception and of course most of my friends and family will too. My soon to be in-laws are extremely old school and I am trying to be respectful to them. I need to find music that has no suggestion to sex... etc. I think that I find one and then one word is ruling it out. I may be able to go in an edit some of the songs but I wanted to see what others could think of. I plan on having all types of music at the wedding however we prefer R&B. I listen mostly to the Christian R&B but wanted to add other things in the mix...that people are used to hearing and love. My soon to be father in law is a pastor and we have invited many of his friends and colleagues.
I have a few of the following songs in mind:
Alicia Keys - No One
Justin Timberlake - Until the end of time
I have to edit some Neyo songs : (

Also... I know some people will probably say that it is my wedding and to do what I want. But my choice is to try and respect everyone and still have fun. That is why I am asking for suggestions of songs. I know I can always take it old school too... but I do want current music too.

my cousin did something intelligent at her wedding. along wit the wedding invitation she asked everyone to pick our a song or two for the playlist and return it RSVP. it worked lovely :) ppl felt they were involved and u can arrange according to wat u find suitable but at least u will have an idea. if u decide on a song and ur in laws dont like it tat much they cannot blame u :))

There is a music list toward the end of this bio. Don't know how many of these songs you can use, but it's a start.
You could consider finding instrumental versions of the songs you want. That way, you would not have to edit the lyrics.
Good luck to you.

i know you want to please and respect everyone. but when it comes down to it these days... you are very challenged to find a song these days that doesn't have some sort of sex reference (speaking of pop music genres)
i really find most of the music out there these days over the line. i have been listening to country for almost 5 years now. when ever i turn on the pop stations i find myself going- omg they let kids listen to this stuff???!!
i suggest you browse some up beat country music to play.
there are tons of slower songs to dance to too.
maybe play motown and older r&b
i think your church attending family/kin will understand what's popular these days and if you play, in moderation, these songs they shouldn't be upset with you.
again like you said, and i understand your other point, it is a day all about you and your new hubby
rock on to what ever you want to listen to

I would add some big band to the mix - Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Harry Connick Jr., Micheal Bubble - People love to dance to that stuff - classy, romantic and fun!!

you should try some stevie wonder. he writes great love songs appropriate for all ages and faiths and very romantic. don't let the cheesy 70's and 80's videos influence you, turn up the sound and close your eyes.
try these(for romance):
