Okay so I'm going to a wedding this Sunday.
I don't have a dress nor am I going to wear one in this cold weather.
I was wondering if there is a way to look dressy and look appropriate for a wedding.
Can someone put together an outfit with clothes maybe from stores like Forever 21 or other stores that sell dressy type clothes that aren't in the high price range?
I'm 16
I'm asian, so I have a golden skin color
I'm 5'1"
I can't wear anything that shows too much skin (of course)

Thanks in advance!

What time and how formal a wedding is it? Really black pants and a nice dressy top are appropriate. You'll be inside most of the time (more than likely) so the weather is only slightly a problem. I'd look for something like you'd see at NY & Co, Lerner, Express. A silky or material with a sheen always dresses up an outfit.

As far as price goes--many stores have amazing fall sales as they are trying to get rid of a lot of their stock. Kohl's & New York & Co both were having huge sales in the last couple weeks. Target has dress clothing and of course many of those places send their overstock to Ross or TJ Maxx. You can always borrow from a friend as well. A dress is always appropriate for a wedding--even though you said it was too cold, you can get a long sleeve, long length dress (Petite Sophisticate has a very nice wrap style one right now) and wear high boots with it.

Forever 21 and other stores like that have BUNCHES of tunic tops. Find one that's dressy, maybe one with an empire waist with beading or a belt.

Or you could wear a jewel toned tank top with a long sleeved black cardigan that ties in the front.

Either one you could wear with a simple flowing, mid-calf skirt. Or decent pants, in like a dark brown.

Oh, and don't forget your smile! Haha, sorry, I'm cheesy...

You can wear a pants suit or dress pants with a nice sweater and some low heels or flats. When I say sweater, I mean something form fitting and warm not grandma looking. Hope this helps!

Some dress pants and a nice sweater or top should be okay depending on how formal the wedding is.
