My engagement ring seems to be too big. When my fiancé proposed, it was a size 7 and it danced around my finger and would fall off. We got it resized to a 5 ½ because that’s the ring that fit me best on my ring finger at Kays. When I got it back it still seemed too big. I’ve had it for 6 months now. Sometimes when my fingers are swollen it seems to fit just right but other times, like right now, it feels like it is going to fall off. I feel bad for not wearing it sometimes for fear of loosing it due to the obvious value it has to me and the monetary value of it. I am also afraid that if I get it down to a five it will be too small when my fingers swell and I am really scared of having a ring stuck on my finger (childhood trauma)
What would you do????
Thanks!

So I had a friend in my wedding over a year ago and she was a pain in the BUTT!! She got engaged a last march, she called me and said " You have one year to look the way you want to look in a bridesmaid dress for my weddding." I was 7.5 months pregnant at that time. So I know that is what she meant, but that is how she "asked" me to be in her wedding. To make things worse, I have never even MET her fiance and she is planning on having her wedding Memorial weekend next year which will be my daughters 1st b-day and the ONLY time we can have my side and my husband's side of the family all together to celebrate. She has only seen my daughter 1 time since she was born 5 1/2 months ago and I haven't even talked to her. She hasn't mentioned the wedding recently, so I am hoping she forgot that she asked me because I just can't be in it....if she does bring it up or call me about it, how do I say sorry no thanks??? HELP PLEASE!!!

Also do they keep the wording formal, ie Mr & Mrs Smith, given that they have never met them?

hi,
i'm a 25 year old woman, engaged to a 42 year old man, we both were married before, now the question is, we are getting married, but he does not want a wedding, he just want us to go to court alone and be married and that's it nothing special, but i want a wedding, although, i want it to be very very simple, any dress it doesn't even have to be white, a little cake, photos for memory, and i'd like our very close family like parents to be there, is it ok, or is it because i was married before, and i had a huge over the top wedding, then i'll look ridiculous to have another wedding?

I am getting married next year and my dress is an off the shoulder type, I have a tatoo on my arm and want to cover it up for the day. I am also very self conscious about revealing my arms and need a way of covering it. I need either the name of some make up that will definitely work or an idea of a place where I can get some kind of stole that wont look silly with my dress because of the shoulders. Im a size 22 so needs to be somewhere with plus

So long story short, I love my sister so much, but through out the years she has had hard times (drugs/partying) And when she is clean (not doing any drugs) she is my best friend, but she goes on bindges that sometimes last 7-10 months, and she becomes a completely different person. I want her in my wedding (clean), but who's to say she wont go on a binge and be Missing in Action during my wedding. What should I do? I was thinking of asking her to be a BM and if before the wedding she goes missing just replace her with someone, but I dont want to be rude and make someone else feel like they are 2nd choice.

I really want the clean her in the wedding! What would you do? or have you had any experience in this. PLEASE HELP!

And I dont want mean answers, I already know the situation is twisted,so I dont need anyone to tell me my family is f***ed up!

My boyfriend and I are getting married. We have been together for 6 years. We are not going to have a wedding, just going to our local court house. But we are having a big reception with family and friends. We do not want to register for anything because we do not need anything. Instead we want a money tree or money boot. Some people have said we were wrong for that. But we feel we shouldnt have to register somewhere just to make other people happy when this is our day. Plus the fact we have been together for 6 years and have everything we need. We are not pack rats and do not want to become pack rats. I do not think a money tree/boot is wrong and I know there has to be a tactful way to announce to the guests. Any ideas?

future daughter in law bridesmaid. This breaks my heart to even ask this question and stop a family fued she is having. For some reason she has decided after buying the dress which cost over 300.00, that 3 months before the wedding called her brother and said she doesn't care to be in the wedding and far worse will not even attend. She called me and said she wanted her money back she spent on the dress. I told her I had nothing to do with it, and she needed to call the bride to be...she did and asked for the money. My son told her she needs to sell it on ebay..because his fiancee is not responsible for giving her the money back. Pls let me know how something like this works. All I can say is this is breaking my heart, that my daughter would act so selfishly and not want to even attend her only brothers wedding.

1.) Do I have to have bridesmaids? Can I just have my maid of honor?

2.) Do I have to have a dress rehersal and rehersal dinner?

3.) Do I pay the clergyman? Or do I just "tip" them? I don't understand how this works. :(

Looking for catering halls - I was told not to settle for the price given to me. I live in NJ and I am not too sure how true this is.

How can I get the most of my money??

I am pentecostal and my fiance is catholic. We are both grew up in church but do not attend regularly, but our families do. What can we do to satisfy both parties as well as ourselves and still make it a religious ceremony. From traditions to ideas about the mass/church ceremony... Any input would help.

Ok so i kicked the problematic bridesmaid out...thats not what i feel guilty about...

My mother calls me today while im at work and says "Since AJ is no longer in the wedding party lets add your cousin 'ann'. " I said "but i originally wanted her to be the guestbook attendant". Mom says "no i think we need to make her a bridesmaid" ....
So my fiance decides he really wants another cousin in the wedding..fine....ok....im frustrated at this point and i called mom and said "let's put her in the wedding as a bridesmaid"

So she gets excited and calls her, she says "does she really want me in the wedding?" mom says "Of course she does!"

So i get this email from anns mother saying "ann really wants to know if you want her in the wedding" yeah I do want her in the wedding...so i told mom "what if my bridesmaids talk about how AJ got kicked out"
mom was like "YOU JUST WANT ME TO FLIPPING STAY HOME DON'T YOU? YOURE CREATING DRAMA THATS NOT THERE" uhm...no..my girls talk....

I have a friend who is married to a woman who is unworthy of him . He asked this woman to marry him last June, she said yes then 6 months later when he asked her to start setting a date she told him don't rush her and if he wanted to call it off he could, he was also recieveing calls from another man telling him not to marry her but he said he thought it was one of his brothers and left it alone. Then she told him she wanted to finish school first when she hadn't even started. She finally set a date in February of this year, she wanted the wedding that August he had already started planning the wedding before she even decided on a date or if she was gonna go through with it. Hes a really sweet person and loves her very much. She talks to him really horrible, he works four jobs and attends school. They finally got married this August but he said her mother wouldn't help pay for the wedding and she took her car because she was doing to much running for the wedding what is wrong here

Flowers can be so expensive, all I am looking to get is my bouquet, 5 BM bouquets, 2 FG bouquets, 2 arrangements for the church, and boutineers for the men and parents/grandparents. People quoted me around $1000. I think thats too much. What is the right price? I dont want to spend lot, I want simple and elegant. What are your opinions? Any ideas welcome, thanks.

Catering is just SO spendy. I would rather everything else be perfect and cut back on the food costs.

I'd like to wear heels so I could look taller and more elegant in photos, but they hurt my feet. I'm not interested in having sore feet for my wedding. My fiance says I should wear low heels for the ceremony and then switch to comfy shoes for the reception and dancing. If I do that, though, won't my dress be too long? I can bustle the back, but the front would be too long, no?

Any suggestions for shoe options for the girl who wears sneakers all the time?

I am obsessed w/Elvis ~ listening to him right now, and thinking that if he somehow was able to come back from the dead & wisk me away, I wouldn't hesitate to say no =)

I have also had a huge crush on John Taylor (Duran Duran's bassist) since I was about 10. I don't know if he could pull me away from my fiance, but Elvis definately could!

Who is your fiance's biggest "competition"?

So I'm getting married in October, plenty of time left. I have two dresses I really enjoy.

I want you to just look at the fabrics! The cut and design is customized, I'll figure that out later...

Which color and embroidery do you like better?

or...

JUST LOOK AT COLOR AND EMBROIDERY!

I like the color of the top one more, and the embroidery of the second one better. I'm having a fall-themed wedding, and I really like these colors. Which fabric do you like better??
