My boyfriend of over 3 years and I had a discussion about where our relationship was going. After hearing about yet another couple getting engaged after just a year, I wanted to know how he felt about marriage and whether it featured in his plans for our future. He told me the concept scared him and he wouldn't be ready to get engaged to me for at least another few years. I was devastated, but I told him that there was nothing wrong with the way he felt it was just very upsetting for me. After a few days I decided if he was not ready to marry me, he could not be comfortable living with me and I asked him to move out. He got very upset and ended up shouting at me that if I had just been patient everything would be alright between us, because he had been planning all year to ask me at Christmas. Now, instead of buying me a ring, he's getting me a laptop. How do I get over yet more disappointment (I've had a lot in the past year) & more importantly, how do I make it up to him?

There is a FTD special now-18 mixed roses plus chocolates for only $19.99.

She couldn´t go to my wedding because her Mom was being treated for breast cancer, but I wanted to make this time special for her.

We live overseas, so I know I won´t be able to attend showers, but we´ll go to the wedding, so I´m thinking roses would be a good way to show how excited we are.

Or should I just send a card? I´ve E-mailed her already.

My fiance will be hyphenating his last name after we get married. He is an awesome guy, what can I say.

I didn't wan't to change my last name for a bunch of reasons (since I'm the only grandchild I wanted to honor my grandfather by keeping his name), but my fiance said he would take my name if I would take his in addition to mine. It's a team effort and we're both happy.

So, my question is, for the reception, will it sound odd or confusing to be announced as "Mr. John Smith Doe and Mrs. Jane Doe Smith"?

Should we be announced as simply "husband and wife"? Or announced using our own names (i.e. Mr. Smith and Mrs. Doe)?

Would you marry me if I had eagle claws? I only have one good tooth. I have to keep it in my pocket in a napkin so it don't get chipped. My left leg has a half peg in it. My hair looks like I got a birds nest in it. I live in a cardboard box under a bridge. I just need love. Who is willing to marry me and where do you want to do this?

Did I mention I also have a glass eye?

My wife and I have attended 2 wedding receptions here in the USA. We are dissappointed with the amount and quality of food served. We had attended probably about 50 wedding dinners betwen us in our lifetime, in other parts of the world, and we never had come home from a wedding party still feeling hungry.

The 2 families are from middle class, and we were quite shocked. I would like to receive comments on your experiences.

My friends had the idea to get married on horseback, and that worked out nicely for them... the bride rode her own horse but the groom had to rent one.. it went off without a hitch (no pun intended); We are having a time planning a fantasy-themed wedding and I would like to ride down the aisle on a unicorn... preferably draft-horse sized and black ( a freisian would do nicely) any help would be great

Well I was set to have the shallow bowls with floating candles but after seeing this one... I think I might go taller instead of lower. http://www.bouquetsofelegance.com/images/Decorations/Centerpieces/c69.jpg

I like that's it's causal yet appropriate for a wedding. I would change up the flowers to match mine, and change the colors...

We are having a casual outdoor wedding with our reception at the (well appointed) hall at the fire house where my fiance is a member.

What do you think?

They do look pretty and all but I always seem to see strapless dresses on the people who don't look good with that kind of dress. Why is it that we never even see off-the-shoulder straps anymore; much less, long-sleeved?

My boyfriend and I want to get engaged and have started discussing rings and whatnot. It turns out he doesn't even want a wedding band, but I think it's an important symbol of the marriage. I don't want to make him do something he doesn't want to, but I also don't want to have a lonely wedding band. Help?

My sister has been engaged for 3 yrs to someone who treats her like crap. Hes lied, cheated, emotionally abused, and treats her with less respect than u would a flea. Now she knows this too as she has complanied about her fiance since almost day one and tells us all she plans on leaving him but never does. I can't remember her ever saying anything good about him. There is no children involved and she is the one with the money not him so these are not reasons. All I can think of is she is bothered by her age(36) and may feel she has to make this work.

I have been having problems with my maid of honor for the a while. The other day we were talking about what the girls were going to carry. I said one red rose and a poch that would hang from the wrist.(that i am paying for) She aske why all the girls woud have one? It is not like we will be wearing make up that needs to be fixed. And I said Um yes your will be.I am not asking you four to wear pagent make up but a little press powder and some color for the lips and some thing to bring out the eyes like liner or some thing. But why do we have to she said. And i told her that we are having pictures done and i would like to have them look good. Not shiney faces. And I have some one to come do the make up( my treat).
Is it to much to ask the girls to wear make up to my wedding. Am i wrong?
