Umm we are think about March. but it is pretty rainy and wet at that time. we do have a ski lodge real close, it would be real far to do a mountain top and it would be harder for people to get their. umm. the reception for the moment is going to be my parents home... but the place is not beutiful.... and i want somthing buetiful... i know a place that would bw awsome but it is a public walking path.. so i dont think that is possable.. if you live in missoula, it is maclays walking path.

You should check out this site:
http://www.eventective.com/USA/Montana/
You choose your city/state and it will show you all the event venues in the area. You can view the venue website and contact them via this site. It should give you some great ideas. It has a lot of pictures too!
Good Luck!

Why not have it at the same place you're having the reception??? It would be much easier for everyone...if you invite someone handicapped...they don't have to go from place to place, elderly people have trouble getting around and you may have the grandparents there. It can be done and it wont be costly either. If you wish...living where you do...you could have a good old fashioned outdoor wedding near a beautiful scenery that everyone will enjoy and then go to a local reception hall or fancy restaurant for the rest.

I did the Ski Resort wedding/reception (Deer Valley Ski Resort), it was very beautiful and very simple. I would highly recommend the ski resort (plus it was cheaper than any reception hall around here). Call to see if they have more than one lodge (one at the base and one at the top) and they also might have shuttles at the base of the canyon the guests can take up.
But since you do live in Montana, is there a nice Ranch and/or an Inn that you can go to? Take a look at these places:

Have fun with the planning!

If you live in a part of the country where the weather will allow, an outdoor wedding would be great. Inquire about public parks, beaches and private clubs. Even a large backyard is nice. Check your yellow pages for wedding chapels that are non-denominational.

Gosh, anywhere! Look at local parks, music halls, museums...most of these sort of places will be willing to make arrangements. Think of places that you and your spouse-to-be have been happy in the past, or places that you both admire, and then ask around- you'd be surprised at how nice curators/caretakers/etc. are, when you're interested in doing a wedding. Have fun with it, and good luck! :)

I am located in Southern California and the company that I work for does weddings and events at private estates and mansions. You should check that out as an option.

If you know someone who has a really big house, do it there. That way you can get away with not having to pay anything. My bro had his wedding in mom's yard under a 100 year old maple tree. It was great and it cost him nothing.

I rented a waterfront city park for mine.
It was only $60 for the whole day, including the building with restrooms.
It was really lovely!
You could do it in someone's backyard--do you anyone who would allow it, whose backyard is really nice?
Check into things like the labor temple, the Eagle's club, Moose lodge, VFW or Kiwanis. They frequently have halls you can rent pretty cheaply.
