I got home from work and my boyfriend (now husband) had cleaned my house and cooked me dinner. He had a nice bottle of wine open for us. We ate dinner on the patio with candles, and then right as the sprinklers turned on (it was funny and not intended), he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I said yes immediately.

my htb surprised me to no end
just the night before he told me in front of our friends he didn't plan to get married anytime in the near future... his typical answer when ppl ask when we are getting married
the next day we were planning to have a big get together of our friends at a local resturant.
so that day, the day, we all get together. there are 16 of us there. just a normal rowdie lunch with the gang.
well my fiance says he wants dessert... typical.
till they bring it and a small plate with a napkin over it out.
i just look at it and say "oh get the f out of here" i look at him and it a few times before i open the box.
i start crying and he says well is that a yes. all i could do was shake my head yes. he put the ring on me and we hugged and kissed and got a huge cheer from our friends. they all knew it was happening.
it was awesome!!!

Well my fiance asked me when I went to see him this summer. We had just got back on base to the hotel we were at and he was acting a little weird so I knew something was up. We had just gotten into the room and I had went into the bathroom, when I came out he was on one knee and asked me if I would spend the rest of my life with him. It was small and I liked it. Plus, there was no way I would turn him down...I love the man...LOL!

We were sitting on the couch late at night. He had just gotten back from a family trip (funeral for his grand-father in TX) with his parents & siblings and he wanted to tell me about the trip. After hearing about all the chaos of the trip, he got quiet for a little bit. Then he looked up at me and said, "Hey baby, you wanna get hitched?"

We were on holiday in Amsterdam and having dinner in our favourite restaurant when he asked me, I was so thrilled that I leaned across the table to give him a kiss and dunked me sleeve in the cheese sauce meant for my steak, but oh well!! It was such a perfect place for him to propose as we had a wonderful "date" there when we had previously been to the city.

We were skateboarding with our 3 closest friends and we took a break and sat on the curb. We talked for a few minutes. He pulled a ring out of his pocket and said, "Kat, we've been through everything together over the past 8 years. You have always been there for me when I needed you. You encouraged me to get help. On the days when it was all too much to bear, you came over and sat in my bed with me all day. You birthed our child even after I walked out on you, which still haunts me to this day. Caleb (our son) is very lucky to have you as his mother. Edwina (his little sister) looks up to you. She already thinks of you as a sister. Katty, I love you. If you hadn't decided to reach out in 6th grade and eaten lunch with me, I wouldn't be here right now. You saved me from myself. Kat, please do me the honor of being my bride." And he slipped the ring on my finger.
Our friends laughed the whole time.

My fiancee taped my ring to a game boy advanced game and gave it to me as a present. It meant a lot because he loves video games, so it was a unique way to propose. I loved it!
