You should check out this site:

http://www.eventective.com/USA/New+York/Brooklyn/Wedding-Receptions.html

It will list all the event venues in your area and give you detailed information on them. You can also contact the venue or review their website via this site. You can search on Brooklyn, Queens, long island etc.

Good Luck

You have to look at it from all angles... and figure what else in your budget you can cut. My wedding was 75 people and cost about $8,000, which was as low budget as we could go without totally cheaping out. There are things I wish I'd had, but didn't really matter in the long run. You have to prioritize what aspects of the wedding are more important to you. Do you think your 125 guests can all afford to fly to and stay at your destination wedding? Or would you rather have all of your friends and family there to witness the beginning of your marriage? Does anyone need gold chivari chairs with dupioni silk covers and organza sashes? Or would folding chairs suffice? We had a 5 station heavy hors doeuvres buffet instead of full dinner. Things can be cut down to make it doable. It takes a lot of leg work, googling like crazy and stress, but it can be done. I would recommend finding some books or websites on budget weddings and using as many tips and tricks as possible to cut corners while still having the wedding you want.

Is there a VFW hall in your area? Otherwise try www.liweddings.com for ideas.

look for fire houses with banquet halls, vfw, moose/elk lodges, nur and shriners temples.
they often do in house catering and most have bar set ups.

Well how many people do you have? Is that the rental fee or do you expect food to be included?
