His only job was to bring the rings, and he forgot them! So we had to use my engagement ring and borrow my fathers ring for the ceremony. My husbands fingers are pretty wide so it didnt even go past his knuckle and he spent the rest of the ceremony with a clenched fist so as to not drop the ring!
When we got to our room that night, we did our vows again with the rings, just the two of us. Thats my favorite memory.

The entire day was awesome, but my favorite memory is probably when I walked down the aisle. Everyone standing and smiling at me... then at the end of the aisle, my hubby was smiling too! This may not sound like a big deal, but my husband is a VERY straight-laced, serious type of guy. So, to see him with a smile he could not contain, was pretty memorable!

His hands were shaking so when he went to put on my wedding ring he couldn't get it past my knuckle. Turns out that was because he tried to slip it on my middle finger.

Lol I love that memory. Anybody can have an aboslutely perfect day (in theory, it never is). My groom loved me so much he looked like he didn't know if he should laugh, cry, or pee himself.

After the ceremony we both had smiles that lasted a week.

2 things:

1. After the ceremony, instead of the traditional receiving line, after my husband and I walked out, we came back in the church and joined our parents. From there, all 6 of us dismissed each row personally which gave us the opportunity to speak with each of our guests and our parents could introduce people to us or the in-laws(like my mother-in-law saying to me, "remember Great Aunt Betsy, you met her once at the family reunion back in August three years ago...")

2. Our horse-drawn carriage ride through the town from the church to the reception.

I really do have other great memories too but those were two very special ones.

We had a very nontraditional wedding and decided to travel to the registry office together, I arrived at his sisters house to collect him and he was being fussed over by his relatives and he turned around and saw me and he had this huge grin on his face and tears in his eyes, that is one of the best memories of the day.

My husband was sooo nervous! He was a wreck during the rehersal even...almost passed out.

So on our wedding day I was so nervous that he was going to faint. Instead of fainting, he turned our ceremony into comedy hour....

- The Reverend ask him "do you take this woman...." and he responded. "Yes", so the Reverend politely asks him to say "I do".... So he responds with "Yes, Yes...I do.. Yes, I will...Absolutely"

- As he was reciting his vows he was looking at the Reverend so the Reverend asked him to look at the woman he was marrying....So he looks behind him, out in the pews, over his shoulder... Smarty Pants.

- When they pronounced us husband and wife, he kissed me and actually grabbed my rear....Nice.

He was hysterical throughout the entire ceremony and it really took the edge off. That is so how he is, and I'm glad that our ceremony was honestly a true reflection of us. Our guests were laughing soo hard the entire time... I was in tears... Not because I was emotional, but couldnt stop laughing at him. It was great :)

When I got to the end of the aisle and I saw my husband just bawling. He had not seen me that day at all and when he saw me coming down the aisle he said I looked so beautiful. Even during the vows we had to pause because he was crying so much he couldn't speak.

Either the anticipation of waiting behind the closed doors to walk into the ceremony (as the bride).

Or

The dance with my father. Very emotional.

I guess it would have to be the part where I put the ring on his finger... on his right hand during the ceremony. I hoped no one would notice, but a couple people mentioned it that next week. Oops :)

After my Dad walked me down the aisle, and the minister asked who gives this woman to be married, my Dad kissed me on the cheek, and HUGGED my fiance-didn´t just shake his hand which is the norm.

My fiance LOVES my Dad, and I asked me Dad to hug him, but to this day, my husband doesn´t know my Dad did this for me. It made our wedding perfect.
