What are letters of freedom?

I've been told I need them to get married in a catholic ceremony. what are they?!

Go to the Catholic parish Priest where you intend to get married and he will talk you through he whole routine.
Any longer answer would be intrusive.

It's just a letter from your pastor stating that you are free to marry- just call your parish and tell them you are getting married and where, and they will take care of it.
