I agree with the other girls. Definatly use your hubbys neices as your flower girl and jr bridesmaid. Remember, soon they will be your neices too. As for your friends children, could one of them hand out the bubbles or bird seeds to the guest as they leave the church, you could also use the girls to be incharge of the guestbook or something of that nature. If you do this be sure to include them in your wedding program, as well as with a thank you token so that they know they were just important on your wedding day as the other girls.

15 is plenty old enough to be a bridesmaid. I'd worry more about the style of the dress though. If you have a cleavage showing dress and are worried that she might not have enough to hold it up, perhaps the junior dress is the way to go. However if you are picking a modest dress or one with straps, have her a bridesmaid. At 15, you are pretty much an adult. As for the 11-12 yo, I'd discuss that with her mother. I know when I was that age, being called a flowergirl would have been the WORST thing imaginable! But my flowergirl was 10 at my wedding. She is very immature--still loves winnie the pooh and looks like she is more like 6 yo. I wasn't sure what she would rather be so I asked her mother. She decided she'd rather be a flower girl, but she made her own dress out of the fabric. My flowergirl wanted something more like a ballet tutu and her mother wanted something more like a junior bridesmaid. As she was my only flower girl, and it was going to be made out of the same material as the others--I didn't care what pattern they picked. They compromised but she was listed as the flowergirl. Ask the mother on this one though b/c technically 11-12 is a bit too old. As for your Maid of Honor--are those cousins the people you are closest to? No sisters or best friends that you'd rather have? I wouldn't pick a young cousin if you are having a sister or best friend but it's your wedding. Especially b/c the MOH has several duties that might be difficult for her to organize at such a young age. However, as everyone always says--it's your wedding. You can do whatever you wish.

Do what I am - - I don't want to choose so I'm not having any!
Another option. Ask! Tell your friends and relatives that you are contemplating having jr bridesmaids and flower girls and ask if they have a preference for their child being in your wedding or not - - some may not want the expense, so they would make your decision for you!!

Is anyone old enough to over see the guest book, gift table, or seating at the reception? I would chose the neices for Jr briadsmaid and flower girl. You said they are the children of family friends, so I would try to find other duties for them.

Since his neices are blood i would pick them to be flower girl and Jr. Bridesmaid. Sorry, but blood is thicker than water, and if these people are your friends they will understand.

@pri!'s answer (above) makes total sense. I can only add one suggestion. Are your friend's daughter's old enough to stand at the door and hand programs to the guests? If their moms were the guest book attendants, I'm sure it would be a wonderful memory for all.
