Your thoughts? It's not really cheating if they share the same last name and look like Freddie Prinze.... right??

Just kidding!

I asked my best friend to be my best man back in May and now with just 4 months to go to the wedding he has canceled on me because of travel costs to a destination wedding. Then i asked my cousin if he would do it and it turns out he's going to be starting a new job right before the wedding and won't be able to get time off. Who should be the third guy I ask to be my best man if I don't have any other close family or good friends?

My best friend is a guy... my fiance's best friend is a guy. Can you have co-best men? Any other ideas? My best friend has volunteered to wear a dress and be the 'man of honor' but that's a little silly :-p

My future husband and I have not had sex yet, we are waiting for the wedding night.

Is it all it is cracked up to be?
How did you feel after making love for the first time?
Was it painful at all?

Just curious, seeing as the date is quickly approaching.

I will not have bridesmaids, or any flower arrangements at church or home. I just will have a small bouquet arranged from my backyard flowers for me. No corsages or anything. I believe it is a waste of $$, and the floral industry charges so much and then off to a honeymoon for 2 weeks in which I would never see floral arrangements that would wilt anyways. You say?

Okay, I just heard from my reception hall that they can not provide the cake I chose for my wedding THIS Saturday because the cake store has discontinued it. I can't believe it. So, I'm going to publix and have it narrowed down to one cake I like. The first link is for the cake shape and size that I like. Three tiers, towers inbetween (mine will have flowers not a bride and groom) and feeds around 75-95 guests. The second link is to a cake whose decoration I like, with the swags. What do you think? Will it look right if I do the size and shape of the first cake with the decoration from the second cake? I can't believe this is happening 4 days before the wedding!

I'm just curious. We're paying for our own event. I'm curious if there are many others in our shoes or are alot of people getting money from their parents or other relatives to pay for all or part of their wedding.

So I want to do a save the date magnet for our wedding. My finace and I took a great picture of ourselves and I got the magnets from Office Depot. Here's the thing...I ran it by a friend of mine and she laughed and said it was a redneck idea. I know it's not her wedding, and I'm gonna do them anyway, but just wanted to see if other people thought the same as my friend.

My fiance and I have set a date but the details still need to be worked out. I'm just want to know if anyone has any regrets about getting married too young. I plan on going to college and he is thinking about it. His mom is fine with us getting married, his dad isn't. My mom doesn't believe that we are getting married and I'm not sure if my dad knows.
We've been together for over 2 1\2 years and haven't done the break up, get back together thing. I just want to know if anyone has any regrets about getting married when they were young.

Mine will be three tiers

Bottom tier-white chocolate with strawberry filling
Middle Tier-Chooclate with chocolate ganache filling
Top tier-Red Velvet with Cream cheese...

It will be white circles with black ribbon on the bottom of each layer and on top of that , a string of pearls and a few roses staggard on the tears.

We aren't sure what we're doing for our wedding cake topper yet..we were thinking dorothy with scarecrow...but not totally set in stone on that idea!

Our top tier will be served because with the fillings it wont freeze right, our price included coming back in a year to get a replica of the top layer for our one year anniversary!

TELL ME ABOUT YOURS! :)

My fiance has invited the parents of his first love... whom he dated years ago and was engaged to. He says he's been close friends with her father ever since. It wouldn't bother me so much, but my parents can't even come to the wedding! They live in a foreign country and the only contact they'd had with my fiance has been a few phone calls and some text messages.

I'm afraid when I see his ex's parents I'll break out in tears because I don't see mine there. Am I being a jealous baby?

i want to have a very simple, fun wedding... nothing fancy...
but we are on a low budged because we have to get married 6 months earlier than planned.
the wedding will be held in a church, which is free.
the rings are all sad too.
so the only things we would need is dress, suite, and food for the party after right?
i think people will make pictures for us and videotape too.
is it possible?
do you guys have any ideas, sides in the internet for cheap dresses, flowers, deco, invitations, ... whatever we need.
i've never planned a wedding and have no glue where to start.
it's suposed to be next months.

please only serious answers.... this is suposed to be last miinute but fun for everybody.

i think we could have people bring food, like a kind of potluck. what do you guys think?

help really needed

thanks so much

If my mother wants her friends (quite a few since she's in an upscale social network in my hometown) to come to our wedding, should my parents pay for the wedding? If she wants her friends to come, yet doesn't want to pay for the wedding (because she doesn't approve of my fiance), should I dis her plans since it's my day and I'm going to marry him regardless of her input? I'd be happy with a courthouse wedding, but I know she will want it to be bigger once she knows. Otherwise it would look tacky...and God forbid that happens.

If a marriage lasts only two weeks should the bride and the groom give back the wedding gifts?

For various reasons, if we don't do it in May we won't be able to have the wedding in December or later. Not wanting to have a wedding in the winter or wait until the next Spring (2009), we decided that this coming May (2008) would be the best time for us. But several, rude, people keep thinking it's because she's pregnant. Which she's not.

What's the best way to deal with this kind of ignorance? Is there even a point?

Was your wedding somewhere other than where you were living? What were/are the biggest challenges of planning a wedding from afar? How many trips did you make and how long did it take to plan?

Hi, any volunteers of a couple who's willing to tell me the story of their marriage proposal, answering a few key questions? I'de like to hear each of ure points of view seperatly, then the story told together as a couple! All will be done by email or chat, whichever you prefer! Need this for an assignment for class, so any volunteers would be greatly appreciated, thanx in advance!

My fiance and I have both already been married once. I want just a small, informal wedding and party afterwards. He wants this big formal wedding. (His guest list is like 400 people). We have fought and argued about this to the point that, I am tempted to just cancel the whole wedding and tell him it is a court house or nothing. Mostly it is finances, we both have kids and bills, plus I am too busy to plan a big wedding and he doesn't want to get involved in that. I am going to college, plus working 60 hours a week, plus raising 2 small children. I don't want to fight with him anymore, but I don't see how he expects us to pull this off.

i just love this design. i have decided to replicate it, slightly modified, for my wedding cake.
wired ribbon on top and some cascading down the side.
instead of roses i was going to use gerberas and a few other smaller flowers (gerberas are my main wedding flower)

and smooth icing not imbelished.

what do you think?
