Okay, I just heard from my reception hall that they can not provide the cake I chose for my wedding THIS Saturday because the cake store has discontinued it. I can't believe it. So, I'm going to publix and have it narrowed down to one cake I like. The first link is for the cake shape and size that I like. Three tiers, towers inbetween (mine will have flowers not a bride and groom) and feeds around 75-95 guests. The second link is to a cake whose decoration I like, with the swags. What do you think? Will it look right if I do the size and shape of the first cake with the decoration from the second cake? I can't believe this is happening 4 days before the wedding!

You poor thing, I can't believe that your reception place did that to you!! They should've at least researched and offered you some kind of alternative! I hope they offer you some kind of compensation..

Anyway good luck!!! Hope the whole weekend's great!

The first cake is beautiful and the extra flowers will only make it look nicer & having the string decorations and swag will look really pretty and polished. Sorry that your reception hall was not on the ball. But you are ! Enjoy your wedding. There are always last minute " problems" but I try to view them as another choice you have to make . In weddings there are many. This one occured at the last minute. It would have been worse if you found out you didn't have a cake the day of your wedding. So count your blessings and go get married!

Hi Mary: Don't panic!!! I know that easier said than done! lol

Anyway....YES, get to Pulix right away. What you have chosen will look awesome....first cake shape/size with the decorations/swags from the second cake. That will look great! And, yes, Publix cakes are GOOD!!! So, it will all work out. Go there right away tonight if you can...or first thing tomorrow to make sure they can do it for you on Saturday. Also check if they deliver!

Good luck!

Discontinued? How do you discontinue a cake design? Anyways, what you have in mind will work. What you are wanting in not an elaborate off the wall decoration. Do not panic, take the pics to Publix and see if they can do if for you by Saturday. If not take the pics to any other bakery, they might charge you a rush fee but they should be able to do it for you.

discontinued? Did someone forget how to pipe icing on a cake? I think the combination of the two or either cake will look beautiful. Good luck

Water may be solid, however the very ultimate component you're able to do is to donate to homeless outreach companies in Philadelphia like challenge abode or Bethesda challenge. those are the two spectacular companies that are attentive to the final the variety to assist the homeless. Giving out money on the line can enable risky behaviors, yet while human beings get help by using a longtime corporation, they are lots extra probably to get any psychological wellness or dependancy centers that they might desire to get extra suitable. My husband worked for a homeless corporation, and a great style of of the folk you notice downtown take a seat in the comparable spot on a daily basis and make respectable money panhandling. If somebody is obviously dehydrated or distressed, of direction you're able to help them immediately and at modern-day, yet in any different case, it is extra suitable to artwork by using usual outreach companies.

looks great. You coudl also ask Costco, they do great cakes, or try another bakery.....Or do you know any friends who are good cooks or their mothers who could make it? Have a great day and don't let this upset you. I had a friend who had a huge heap of chocolate profiteroles as a wedding cake and that was great too...

That's Murphy's Law!!!

The swags will look fine on the first one. Go for it! On the bright side, you have 4 days, not one!!!!

It'll be fine.

Congrats & good luck.
