Mine will be three tiers

Bottom tier-white chocolate with strawberry filling
Middle Tier-Chooclate with chocolate ganache filling
Top tier-Red Velvet with Cream cheese...

It will be white circles with black ribbon on the bottom of each layer and on top of that , a string of pearls and a few roses staggard on the tears.

We aren't sure what we're doing for our wedding cake topper yet..we were thinking dorothy with scarecrow...but not totally set in stone on that idea!

Our top tier will be served because with the fillings it wont freeze right, our price included coming back in a year to get a replica of the top layer for our one year anniversary!

TELL ME ABOUT YOURS! :)

Ours was a very buttery white cake with a pineapple custard filling and the most decandent white icing I've ever had... decorated with real cut flowers and aboslutely GORGEOUS... 3 tiers... what made it even better is that my neighbor made it for us for free... everyone RAVED about the work she did and how amazing it tasted.

Mine was 4 tiers. They were squares that were stacked alternately (not all sitting the same way). The bottom tier was white with raspberry filling and the other three tiers were almond flavoring filled. The design on the bottom and second to top tier were a recreation of the lace on my dress...it was beautiful. The top had a scrolling "M" for the topper. The rest of the cake had a few strategically placed flowers on the corners. It was amazing!

Mine will only be 2 tiers, probably just white cake because my fiance doesn't like chocolate and I'm not to picky. We're going to have the small 2 tier cake for looks and the wedding party and my hubby and I and then offer cut sheet cake to the rest of the guests to help cut costs.

GREAT question by the way, I wondered about some good ideas for flavors!

Our cake is 4 tiers, the bottom 3 being chocolate with chocolate ganache and the top 1 being a diabetic friendly cake. The description of the cake is a secret, I don't want everyone and their dog having it, it is quite unique, really simple and very classy.

As far as my wedding cake, it was four tier, one for him, one for me, one for our daughter and one to represent the three of us coming together. The top one was chocolate, the second white, the third yellow and the bottom marble(the joining of the family).
On the outside, the top layer was pink with small cream flowers similar to the ones your first grader draws, the next layer was mauve with small pink roses, the third layer, cream with tiny little versions of Dale Earnhardt's car and the bottom had all of the above.
The topper was a gazebo with three tiny figurines in it. It was the place we met and ten years later were married. Corny, maybe, ours, definately.

Mine is a cheesecake, top tier has grand manier mousse filling and the bottom tier has bailey's mousse filling. The middle tier is tiramisu with kalua and cointreau filling.
No cake topper. We're using fresh orchids.
My cake is a non-traditional. Neither of us like cake so we opted for cheesecake. The tiers are square and it has no icing or fondant. It's divine.

Haven't gotten to the cake yet, but here's what I am thinking at the moment:
I want a buttercream icing, yellow cake, and chocolate filling (custard-type).
My preference is to do a big sheet cake for the guests and a small brides cake and grooms cake - same flavors - but decorated for each of us.
We're both into cars and our pets so my topper idea was me in a green Chevy Nova (I have a '71) with my dog, and my fiance in a red Mazda Miata (he races one) with his cats side-by-side looking like we're about to drag race.

I'm toying with making it myself... but this seems like tempting fate lol.
I would love either a chocolate mud cake or black forest cake, with cream coloured royal icing and pink or red buttercream filligree detail and maybe the same roses as in my bouquet (tossing up between cream and deep red roses).

i am making my own cake, bottom tier and top tier are both a triple chocolate cake.. its gorgeous, looks fantastic when finished and its actually meant to look uneven on the top, which is killing me to do!
i really cant wait to make it, will cost me £10 in total as opposed to £350 for the same cake by a specialist!!!!!
