I see your worry, but in all honesty, it is just security. You can chose to look at this as a bad sign or a good one, he's activley pursing the banks making sure the money goes through and you get your ring which means this is really what he wants. He's not giving up...and that's a great sign!!!

Honey, it is only a bad sign if you are looking to find a bad sign. So if you are looking for a reason to not move forward, and you look hard enough you will find it. An example would be what if your boyfriend had been stopped by a policeman on the way to the jewlery shop...would that be a bad omen as well?? Would that say to you...the gods are trying to stop him from getting me an engagement ring so then we cant get married.....See how silly that sounds.
The bank has done this as a security measure. When there is an account that has been inactive that suddenly is attempted to be used for a large sum. They are going to hold off on doing anything before they make sure it is legit and not theft. He will probably have to go into the bank and get it straightened out and not do it over the phone.
Good luck, take a deep breath and relax!

The same thing happened to me, my then-boyfriend tried to buy my engagement ring on a Sunday, and they wouldn't accept his check, because the bank was closed. They wouldn't let him take the ring either.
Then, when he went back the next day, they made him leave the check, and in those days, it took 3 days to clear. So they wouldn't let him take the ring til Thursday, when he went, picked it up, and gave it to me!
I think it was not a bad sign, as we have been married over 14 years now.
You can look at it this way, if he has to jump through hoops for you, he must really love you!

No this isn't a bad sign and it doesn't mean your relationship will fail. It just means that they need to take the hold off of his account. If you are counting on signs like this to determine whether or not you should get married then you are in for some troubling times. Certain situations can't be considered "signs" that something should or shouldn't happen. What really matters is if you two are really ready to get married.

Banks take there time to solve problems it depends on what time of day he called the bank it probably hasn't went through yet I would go to the bank and take the money out that is needed so that wont happen again.

I wouldn't worry about it, just bad communication between the jewelers and the bank. That happens a lot these days. Just give your guy a lot of credit for going back the next day and trying again..now that would be a bad sign if he didn't go back.

i don't think it is a bad sign. if you two love each other then you should get married. it's just the bank going through security measures since he hasn't used his account in a very long time. don't stress over stupid stuff like that. good luck

Its not a bad sign. Sometimes the same thing happens when my finace tries to use his debit card when he has money on it. If this is right guy for you, go for it. Don't let some stupid bank scare you out of marrying Mr. Right.

No honey it's not a bad sign. Don't look for things to go bad in your relationship. He will fix the situation. However, if he has problems paying his bigs and such maybe he's not great with money and that could be a turn-off but it's not a sign.

I don't think the "wedding" is a bad sign, but maybe the ring is. Maybe he should buy a less expensive ring. I don't think the ring is meant to be. I think it's fate. Or maybe the jeweler will be just so tired of it, that he'll give that ring to him for cheaper, or in the time it takes to pay for that ring you'll find a better deal.
