We're both about 19 years old, and we've ben thinking about getting married in the next 5-6 years, but as of now we have absolutely NO funds. Of course our parents will chip in, but do you think we'll be able to save enough money for a really nice wedding?

Hi there. I would like to have a beach theme wedding in San Diego, Mission Bay/La Jolla area. Can anyone tell me of a nice and good place where I can hold the reception. I love the beach so I would like to have it as beachy as possible. Also inside. I would like to spend no more that $10 thousand on this. I have around 125 guests I am also looking for a DJ and photographer. I didn't like the boat cruise for a wedding. I have only been living here for about 2yrs. So don't know many places.

All help is appreciated.

I need a song for my father/daughter dance. I thought "Music of my heart" by Nsync/Gloria Esteven would be a good one. But is that more of a husband/wife type of song? Any ideas for other songs? I'm an atheist, so songs cannot mention religion of any kind. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

My fiance's ex wife is not invited to our wedding, any ideas on how we can tell his 7 y/o daughter that mommy is not invited to the event. She really wants her mom to be there, but mom is a total b*tch to me and doesn't want me around b/c she is jealous of the daughters feelings towards me. HELP!!!! We really want to handle this the right way.

I was supposed to be in my friend's wedding, but just found out I'm pregnant. I would be about 8 months pregnant. She really wants me to be in it...and says she doesn't care that I'll be a big cow (my words) but I just think I'd ruin the entire look.

Advice please....

I'm filling out a form for invitations and need to know when the proper day for an RSVP should be. The wedding is December 15.

a wedding invitation. However, we want to keep costs low. What is your opinion on having a small family/close friends ceremony in the mountains (3 hours from our home) and maybe a larger gathering later? Ideas, opinions please!

Are there any *nice* mother-in-laws out there?

I do realize I'm probably going to get comments from mother-in-laws themselves, but I'd really like to her from daughter-in-laws :)

Thanks for your input!

I just got engaged and I am having an extremely hard time narrowing down my good friends to just a handful. I've got about 8 girls that I really can't stand to eliminate (2 of which are my fiance's sisters and good friends of mine), and he's got about 5 guys (each of our brothers included). Do there have to be the same number of bridesmaids and groomsmen? I'm completely new to this. Help!

Long story short, this bridesmaid and I have basically no friendship anymore...we haven't argued or anything, just fizzled out real fast after she left our workplace (we were good work friends). There have been some negative things along the way that have happened and overall it now feels ridiculous to have her stand in my wedding considering that I have only seen her ONCE in the last several months. I have a back up that I'm better friends with. Here's my question - the bridesmaid I plan on kicking out spent $100 towards my bridal shower. I would obviously pay her back for the dress, but do I also pay her back for the bridal shower? She was not the only one who contributed (in fact contributed the LEAST amount). But I want to do the right thing here....so do I give her back all money that she spent towards the wedding? I'm thinking yes, but want to hear some opinions.....

I'm looking for under 5 dollars a head. My colors are black and white with red roses. I believe the favors is a great place for me to cut back on the budget, but I'm really not that creative. I wanted to buy everyone a bottle of wine, but I think 15 dollars a head is a bit excessive for a favor.

I'm working on my fiance about this and he raised a good point - - what would our guests think?
We are planning a large wedding and have found a few places in our price range.
We can only offer one option if we do a sit-down dinner, which means that our guests will get what we decide - I think we would go with chicken.
We could do a buffet with 3 options (beef, chicken, fish or pasta) for the same price.
I like the idea of variety as well as our guests could go back for 2nds if they are hungry or not fill their plates up if they don't want as much food.
The increase in price to give sit-down selections in advance puts us over budget. And I find that people often forget what they chose anyway.
My fiance feels that the sit-down is classy and the buffet isn't.
I've been to great weddings with buffet-style dinners so I disagree with him.
What are your thoughts????

Especially if you needed to be considered legally married if your boyfriend/girlfriend were in the military? Or if you needed to be considered legally married so that the other could immigrate? Or if you know that the marriage would be awkward because the bride's or groom's parents wouldn't show up?

People have asked me if there invited to the wedding. I say yes because they can attend the ceremony but maybe not the recpetion. How do you tell people that without being rude or sounding cheap?

Hello,
I need some advice. My fiancée is a very charming girl who just got out of college and I can’t wait to make her my wife. However, her parents are insisting to pay for it and that we stay in their price range. I have considerably more financial resources and want a more luxurious ceremony and am quite willing to pay for it. How can I tell them I will not fly my family in for 6 dollar Champaign to be served and have a reception in a dump?
I don’t want my Katie in a wal-mart dress!

I've got to know if I was right, wrong, or rude in the below:

My fiances parents have always agreed to pay for the flowers for the wedding day. So this weekend she, my mom, and myself went to the florist to pick them out. The florist asks who will be paying & his mom says "I'm paying for what the grooms side pays for." Because she said this, the florist divided the bill according to bride and groom. He explained what my mom would pay and I said "Wow, mom you're going to have a big bill, did you know that?" From there his mom writes out her part of the bill & lets my mom pay the rest.

We didn't say anything but my mom is stuck with this unexpected bill. We aren't doing payment as it traditionally would be done because his family is well-to-do and I felt it was VERY rude to do this last minute move. When my fiance found out, through her, he said that what she did wasnt part of the deal they had made. She said that I'm the one who was rude because of the comment I made. Was I rude?

I am about to throw my friend her bachelorette party (it's actually a jack and jill party) and I have no idea how this is suppose to work. Is everyone suppose to split the cost/pay for themselves? We are doing bowling and dinner at a higher up bowling alley/bar and I really can't foot the bill for everyone!
