We are going to a wedding today where the couple is already living together. They don't have a gift registry and I don't know what to get them since they have already set up household together. Any suggestions?

We are getting married in couple weeks.. Do we need to get our wedding bands (bridal set and band) to be appraised then insured? Please help us and explain to us... Is this better way for us to do that than purchase all over the same? Something that we dont know? Please share with us. Thank you..

Heya,

Just after some advice if anyone can help me please...

My fiance is Catholic, and I am Anglican. We have discussed the future and have decided that after we are married and have kids we will raise them and baptise them as Catholic, and they will attend a Catholic school as my fiance did.

We were wondering though, would it be a problem in the future for our children being recognised by the Catholic church if one parent isn't Catholic? And would it matter if we were married in a non-denominational ceremony? I am not looking to convert religions at this stage...

Thank you!! :o)

My husband's brother is getting married in April. My husband is the best man and our daughter is the flower girl. I will have to take care of her during the ceremony and be there when she gets ready with the rest of the girls. At the wedding where do I sit, the brides side by the girls and my daughter or on my brother in laws side because he is my husbands brother????

A friend of a friend is getting married next year, and has asked me to make handmade invitations for their wedding. I've never gone through the wedding process, so I don't know how much typical invites and reply cards cost. They would probably cost me about 75 cents to make per card, and maybe 10 - 15 min per card. So material cost for, say, 50 cards would be about $38 and maybe 10 hours all together.

How much should I charge? Keep in mind that I don't personally know these people, and I am currently in graduate school - my time can be precious! Thanks for any info.

My soon-to-be step daughter is 4 and she will be in my wedding.

The thing is, the dress me and my fiance picked out, they stopped making so now we need a new dress!

The JBMs are wearing periwinkle, the BMs are wearing evening blue and my MOH is wearing a sky blue dress, so I'd perfer the dress be blue. I don't want to spend more than $1000 so please keep it lower. Thanks!

Ive only been working for about 2 weeks at this job and I just got engaged. I started wearing my engagement ring and I noticed a lot of reactions at my job. A couple of people were curious if I was married and I said I am getting married so they said congrats. I noticed a few girls that seemed to react differently towards me than usual. They didnt ask me if I was married they were mostly quiet around me, but acknowledged that I was wearing a ring. One girl who I usualy talk to seemed to be very disrespectful to me since I started wearing the ring. Can someone tell me whats going on here? Why are these girls mad at me?

We're getting married in August of 2008. My fiance and I are very torn when it comes to the bridal registry. We both dislike the idea, but some people have requested that we register in order to get an idea of what we want/need. We ended up registering at two stores with a total of about 10 items in order to satisfy those that would prefer to use a registry to buy gifts. We plan to tell people about the registry ONLY IF THEY ASK. There will be NO notification of the registry in any invitation.

I still feel uneasy about the whole registry thing and am half tempted to delete them. What do you think? Do you agree that they are tacky? OR do you like to have a registry to decrease the stress of gift buying?

For a wedding

2007-10-26 12:52:06 · 2 answers · asked by Dee R84 2

I haven't been to a wedding in ages. I avoid them at all costs. But, I can't avoid this one unfortunately b/c it is one of my closest friends.

Anyhow, it is out of town and I already bought a present from her registry. I just read somewhere that it is tacky to bring a present to the wedding/reception. Is that true?

I could have had it shipped but I didn't want to show up empty handed. Now I wish I would have had something shipped.

What do you guys think? Is it tacky to show up with a gift at a wedding reception?

My former brother-in-law was on TLC's A Wedding Story. Everything about it was odd, the dresses, the cupcake 'cake', the gloves... I am glad I wasn't invited LOL

My brother is getting married and combining 2 households (second marriage for both and there are 6 kids involved). The only thing they need is some money to help them finish their basement so they have room for the entire family under one roof. They would like to ask for Home Depot gift cards, but don't know how to word it. Any suggestions? Is it rude to do at all? I'm of the new school that doesn't think it's rude to put registry cards in the invites...

I'm planning a wedding and need ceremony and reception hall ideas. I'm planning it for either LA, Orange, Riverside, or San Bernardino County. I'd love to hear about where you had your wedding or if you attended a wedding around these parts. I desperately need ideas. I've been to several, but they weren't very nice. Help!
