They write their names BUT some forget.

You could put their return address on the RSVP return envelope just in case some don't put their names on the RSVP card.

It happened to me. Thankfully I had the return address put on so I knew who responded!

They will write their names.

And when they mail it back, most people will put their return address on the envelope, so if they forget to write their name, it will be on the envelope.

While some of these suggestions were good, I would have wanted to shoot myself if I had to create a numbering system to track them or some other super time consuming task. I am far too busy for all that nonsense.

While planning my wedding, I still had to go to work every day, cook dinner, do laundry, do dishes, go grocery shopping, and take care of my baby boy... among other things. But if you are young, live at home w/ parents, don't have a job and have no kids, I can see you having time to number every RSVP card going out.

They write their names in themselves, but my sister-in-law had a great idea for the ones who forget:

She assigned each person on her guest list a number (it was on an Excel spreadsheet, so that made it easy). Before she sent out her invitations , she penciled in the guest number on the back of the RSVP card. It was a lot quicker than having to write out return addresses on the RSVP card envelopes, and it saved a lot of confusion when guests forgot to fill out their names.

They write their own names....also include a space for them to write HOW MANY PEOPLE are coming..that way you know if people are going to be bringing their guests or not.

A lot of RSVP cards show something like

M_________________ (they fill in Mr. Mrs. Ms, and their name)

Attending __ guests

wont' be attending

Enjoy!

etc.
