I'm planning a wedding and need ceremony and reception hall ideas. I'm planning it for either LA, Orange, Riverside, or San Bernardino County. I'd love to hear about where you had your wedding or if you attended a wedding around these parts. I desperately need ideas. I've been to several, but they weren't very nice. Help!

well we are Catholic so we had to get married in the church. Those counties are HUGE...you have alot of options and it all depends on your budget. I recently attended a beautiful wedding at Pala Mesa golf resort in Temecula. The ceremony and reception were there outdoors. If you are doing outdoors, there are plenty of golf courses down here with ceremony/reception sites combined because the weather is always so nice. There is also the Mission Inn in Riverside (sorta pricey but gorgeous). There is the Huntington Library and Gardens and the Arboretum in Pasadena too.

We live and got married in Orange County, so we only looked at locations here. The places we liked were:

The Hilton Waterfront Hotel, Huntington Beach - Nice hotel on the water, but very pricey.

Los Coyotes Country Club, Buena Park- View of golf course and very green. Lots of nice locations to take pics.

Summit House, Fullerton - On hill. Nice view. They have a gazebo outside for ceremony. Evening reception nice because the restaurant over looks the city, so the view of the sunset is beautiful.

The Japanese Garden, inside CSULB - Beautiful Garden, but many strict rules.

After all the scouting and budget changes, we opted for a small ceremony at a Christian Chapel in Anaheim. Very pretty. We ended up having our reception at one of the banquet rooms at the Sequoia Center in Buena Park. The Sequoia center has since been torn down and now stands a Target. Go figure. =)

Hope I helped and congrats on your wedding.

I just moved here 3 months ago. I have conducted weddings on the beach at Carlsbad and at the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego. I haven't explored much of Orange County yet but there are supposed to be some beautiful locations.

I got married in Arizona.

I live in Southern California, and I'm getting married but not in Calif. I can give suggestions though from other people's weddings.

My boyfriends cousin was married at Edwards mansion in Redlands. I wasn't able to go but from what I heard it was nice. The pictures came out nice.

But about a month ago I went to my aunts wedding which was at Etiwanda Gardens. It was very simple, but I thought it looked nice.

You can have the ceremony and reception at both places.

We had our reception at the Knights of Columbus in Bellflower. If your'e looking for something a little more upscale try the Embassy Suites Hotel in Downey. Also try looking under country clubs.
