My husband's brother is getting married in April. My husband is the best man and our daughter is the flower girl. I will have to take care of her during the ceremony and be there when she gets ready with the rest of the girls. At the wedding where do I sit, the brides side by the girls and my daughter or on my brother in laws side because he is my husbands brother????

At my aunt's wedding, she had the same problem. What happened was that the flower girl and the mom discreetly went around the back to sit in the groom's side with the rest of their family, then before it was time for the recessional, they discreetly went back to the bride's side. It was perfectly okay. Hope that helps.

You should sit on the groom's side, since you are part of the groom's family. After your daughter walks down the aisle, unless the bride is having her stay up at the altar with her, simply have her slip into the pew next to you. I'd advise the bride to not have the flower girl stay with the rest of the bridal party during the ceremony. You may even need to be right behind your mother and father in law, on the aisle, so that you can wave your daughter to come down the aisle. All this is depending on how old your daughter is too--the younger she is, the more likely she'll need her mother during the ceremony.

I'd probably sit on your brother-in-laws side because more closely related than bride, etc, but keep an eye on your daughter.

It doesnt matter which side! You are there for both of them! If I were you Id be on the brides side just in case there is an emergency where you need to help your daughter. Its just practical.

at weddings i've been to the mother of the flowergirl sits as close to the flower girl as possible! and they're usually up and moving a lot of the time too :)

try not to worry about being rigidly in place and perfectly sophisticated, you are allowed to chase down your little angle if she see's a butterfly mid ceremony :)

U sit on the groom's side. Since it is ur husband's side no matter if ur daughter is in the wedding or not.

You would sit on the groom's side. However, depending on the age of your daughter, make sure you're near the aisle if you think she'll not behave well....

I would sit where I could get to my daughter quickly if she starts to get bored at the altar and get into mischief. I would suggest that you ask the bride and see where she wants you to sit.

Miranda,
Usually it would be the groom's side, but children can become obstinate unexpectedly, so have a place ready for both of you on both sides.

I'd say sit where you can get to the rug rat if she needs something. If she's old enough to understand where to go and that she needs to stay where she is, then you can sit w/hubby's family.
