I didn't want any, but the minister I saw last night has persuaded me to have two. A girl and a boy. The problem is how do you choose? I know lots of children, and am having real difficulty choosing between them. (Probably because I was never picked as one myself. lolol) Did you ever pick one just because of your association with their parents.

The same goes for witnesses. How did you decide?

a good friend of my fiances is getting married. he did not ask my man to be in the wedding, however the girl he is marrying has asked me to be a bridesmaid.
when they were just dating she would always tell me that i would not be in their wedding unless it was some small part and the only way i would be a bridesmaid would be if one of her other friends backed out or couldnt do it.
the other day i got a phone call asking me if i would be willing to dye my hair again bc she thinks that it would look better with her choice of bridesmaids dresses if i wanted to be in the wedding. she then went on to me tell that a friend had said she couldnt do it but she had two other people in mind for the position.
She told me she didnt need to know right away and just to let her know when i thought about it.
i know it is her day but i feel a little hurt about things she has said in the past. should i accept her offer and just let it be done, should i say something to her, or should i just declin

I want to give a friend of mine who's getting married lingerie for her bridal shower, but that's not technically on the list of the registered items. Would it be rude to completely ignore the list and give her just lingerie and the like, or should I get lingerie and something from the list?

I'm struggling to decide whether to do seating at my wedding reception or not. I can think of pros and cons with each way. The biggest con is that it will be hell to determine who sits with who. Do you have any thoughts/suggestions? Please help.

I recently received an invitation from my cousin, to attend his daughter's bat mitzvah (the Jewish version of a communion, for those unfamiliar with the term) in late November.

He addressed the invitation to me, not me and 'Guest.' However, he didn't know that I have a girlfriend, and that I'd like to bring her.

I already sent the RSVP back, saying I was coming (the RSVP date was yesterday). My question is, is it proper to ask him if I can bring my girlfriend, even though I was the only one invited, and even though the RSVP date has passed. And if so, how should I go about doing it?

My girlfriend has yet to meet my family, whom I rarely see, since I live in a different state, and I thought that this would be a great opportunity for that to happen.

Thanks.

I showed her the dress I wanted her to wear (I am paying for everything) and some others with a simmilar touch. I want the dresses to be blue and this was a beautiful evening blue with a diamond shape back that looked lovely on her. But she said no. She said no to every dress I liked. The only dress she could find in the store was this purple thing that wouldn't go with anything. But she says "I won't be your BM if I can't wear it". When I brought up flowers she insisting on carrying daisies, when I want roses because it'll look nice with the dresses, but again I got the "If you want me to be your BM...." speech. She is trying to decide every little detail of my wedding. Including inviting people I don't even know and she doesn't even ask me! HELP!

I'm getting married this December and am having four bridesmaids. I have no clue what to get them as a gift for being in the wedding. I'm looking to spend no more than $25 a person. What are some good ideas for gifts that all four girls would like?

Okay, my fiance and I are getting married next November and we're trying to figure out what all we should register for.

After our wedding we are going to move into an apartment thats attached to his grandmothers house. Therefore our kitchen will be her kitchen, shared bathroom, and we will be sharing the washer and dryer.

We are 19 and 21, so she offered the apartment so bills wouldnt be a problem while we are building our new house.(we are going to pay her even though she insist on us not too) (for the extra water and electricity)

The apartment includes, a large bedroom, with fireplace, a seperate room ( living room) and also a utility room and closet.

What all do you think we should register for????

I know a couple who are getting married in a little over a week and I only found out a few weeks ago. Due to personal circumstances I am pretty broke at the moment. We're friends (co-workers first but still good friends) and I am one of only a handful of people invited to their super casual wedding (basically a civil cerimony). What can I get them?

Me and my boyfriend have recently got engaged but currently both still live with our parents, as we are saving for a deposit as we dont wanna waste money renting.
I've been recieveing a fair bit on critism from people who say that you shouldn't even consider getting engaged until you have your own property. I was just wondering if this is the norm.

I have an evening wedding to go to in a week and I don't know if the dress I'm going to wear will be appropriate. It's a dark teal gown with spaghetti straps. Is it okay as a guest to wear a gown/floor length dress or is that reserved just for bridesmaids? My fiancee is one of the groomsmen and the bridesmaids are wearing silver. The wedding and reception will be held at a very elegant estate so I know it's formal but I don't want to be the odd one out if it turns out I'm overdoing it.

I just popped over to one of my fave craft stores and found it is closing and print-your-owns were 50% off. It just so happened there was a design I liked and enough quantity for me so I bought them up. I figure if the other half hates them I can pop 'em on eBay and recover what I paid.
But I was wondering if anyone has used them and what your experience had been?

Should I get legally married in 2 weeks to my fiance and then have the catholic ceremony when he comes come from Iraq in 2 years? His unit is getting deployed in April and he wants to be legally married before he leaves, just in case something were to happen to him. However, my family wants the Catholic wedding. I could do both but the catholic cermony wouldn't be the same as if we were getting married the first time..We were suppose to get married in May until we found out he was getting deployed. I already have my wedding gown ordered! I just want to know what other people think..thanks to all who do!

I've been going to a bunch of weddings lately, and mine is going to be in June. I'm making a Do-not-play list so people don't have to hear the same songs they hear at every other wedding.

Here's what I have so far:
The Isley Brother - Shout
KC & The Sunshine Band - Celebration
Van Morrison - Brown Eyed Girl
Any Neil Diamond, any BeeGees
Abba - Dancing Queen
Bob Seger - Old Time Rock n Roll
B52s - Love Shack
Commodores - Brick House

Any other suggestions to keep our guests from running screaming from the wedding? I'm 25 years old, if that helps in any way.

I have a 1 ct. tw. marquis setting and it seems that all people are concerned with are HUGE diamond rings--1.5-2 Ct.. now a days.

To me it's the meaning behind the ring...I'm not competing here. Obviously the man I love is marrying me--good enough for me. I just think far too many people are showing off what they have and not focusing on what's really imprtant --a marriage.

Sorry--I had to vent! I noticed people snubbing a girl at work too--she got a nice 1/2 Ct. solitare--what's with society??
