You need to know what metal it's made of to answer that question.

You'll have problems if it's plated gold, including HGE, or if it's 12K gold.

You should be OK with 14K gold, including 14K rolled gold.

Some people have more of a problem with this than others. Sweat isn't the same from one person to another.

I haven't seen the ring.

Look inside of the ring, and see if the ring is real gold, or not. Inside the ring, if it is real gold, it should have 10k ... or 14K.

Real gold will not turn green.

Sometimes the cheaper rings are silver, overlaid with 18k gold. These rings don't turn easily if they are cared for gentley .. meaning you couldn't wear them all the time in water, etc.

Eventually the overlay will turn ... however, maybe by then, you could buy another ring.

i agree with the 1st poster. check for the stamp inside the band. that will tell you the karat of the gold. also ask for the specs from the sales person. they can, or should, be able to tell you if it's solid or plated/overlaid.

i've not been ring shopping at walmart so i'm not sure with the ring you are referring to.
