We are getting married in couple weeks.. Do we need to get our wedding bands (bridal set and band) to be appraised then insured? Please help us and explain to us... Is this better way for us to do that than purchase all over the same? Something that we dont know? Please share with us. Thank you..

YES!!! That way if anything happens to them you can be covered. Also if any of the rings have stones in them, make sure that you get the stones mapped, that way if for any reason you feel your stones may have been switched out for ones of lesser quality you can prove it.

Most homeowners or renters insurance cover small amounts of jewelery. If you have a huge ring or a lot of jewelery that's very expensive you may need to get a separate policy for it. Ask your agent since things can vary. I would get it appraised just to be on the safe side. Make a copy of the appraisal and also take pictures. Keep one copy in your files and keep another someplace else (safe deposit box, office, parents house, etc) that way if something happens you will have your paperwork in order.

If the rings are new....they do not have to be appraised. As far as insurance, your homeowner insurance should cover it. If you don't own a home, talk to your insurance company.
