Instead of using the parents names use the bride and the grooms. Such as Jane Doe and John Smith invite you to share... or if you want to use the parents then you should use the mother and husband of the bride, father and wife of the bride then the parents of the groom.

it depends on who is hosting the wedding. If the parents are hosting, then it should read Mr. Bride's dad, Ms. Bride's mom and grooms' parents names - or Mr. and Mrs. Groom's parents. You can also say, together with their parents, Bride and Groom invite blah blah blah - do a search online - there's just about every scenario covered !

According to Emily post

If all parties are contributing . . .

{Brides mother and Spouse}
{Brides father and Spouse}
and
{Grooms Parents}
request the honor of your presence
at the marraige of
bride
and
groom . . .

If you are paying yourself and want to mention your parents . . .

Together with their parents
bride
and
groom
request the honour of your presence
at their mariage. . .

I also found this option which is generally used if the brides parents are doing most of the hosting but you want to mention the grooms parents. . . .

Brides mother and spouse
and
Brides father and spouse
request the honor of your presence
at the marriage of their daughter
bride
to
groom
son of Grooms parents
etc.

I am in the same situation. Because my parents are paying for the wedding, I am choosing to use the traditional wording with both my parents listed:

Mr. and Mrs. Jason Smith
and Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Weeden
request the honor of your presence at the marriage ceremony of their daughter,
Emily Jane Smith,
to
Robert Daniel Evans,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Evans...

If you are paying for the wedding (or prefer to simplify things), you may write:

The honor of your presence is requested at the marriage ceremony uniting
Emily Jane Smith
and
Robert Daniel Evans...

or

Emily Jane Smith
and
Robert Daniel Evans,
together with their parents,
request the honor of your presence at their marriage ceremony...

i do unlike "your presence is our present" the word "present" sounds discover it impossible to stand as much as's for a newborn's birthday celebration. i've got confidence it would desire to be larger worded "you're presence is reward passable..." additionally, i do no longer think you may desire to placed it on the invitation. you may placed it on an extra small card and incorporate it in the envelope with the invitation. or you in all risk have a wedding ceremony ceremony internet website, placed it on there. EDIT--I in basic terms learn all of the numerous suggestions. I agree which you ought to no longer placed this in writting. do in basic terms no longer regester at any shop, jointly as every person asks you..then you definitely'll tell them which you're easiest hoping for them to return back on your wedding ceremony ceremony. If every person will supply you a reward besides, settle for it with a thank you.

My wedding and invites were casual, so I'll just take a stab at it... I'd put Mr. John Smith Ms. Joan Smith Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Laura Wilder. (of course use their names, but put your mom and dad as two different titles, and then his mom and dad as the same.

If you want to add your parents names, just add them as usual. If the divorced parents have seperate last names, so what?
