you answered your own question - bride then groom. But for some reason, anything addressed after that, his name goes first.
Truthfully - what sounds better? If your names run together with yours first but are phonetically better with his first - then do that - or order some favours with your name first and some with his name first. That shouldn't cost you any more, and will cover all bases!

I'm not certain if it is traditional or not but on our favours my wife's name went first. She is pretty up to date with this type of stuff so I believe that she would do it proper way. Don't take my word for it though as I cannot verify with her as she is at work presently. Most weddings I have attended now that I think about it though does have bride's name first. Best of luck and happy marriage to you and yours.

I think with most wedding related stuff, the bride's name goes first.

The usual way is groom and bride in that order simply due to the custom of Mr.& Mrs. being established. So Mr.& Mrs. Brown becomes Sam and Diane.

I actually put my husbands name first and then mine. I don't know if its correct in the etiquette books but it sounded better to me. However since the brides parents are paying for these, you can probably bet her name will come first.

I'm actually going to put his name first because it sounds better and everyone knows it's Aaron and Debra, not the other way around. LOL.

I believe the rule of thumb is before you're married it's...Tracy & Todd..after you're married it's Todd & Tracy. So for your wedding favors it would be his name then yours.
