This is a VERY pretty song by Keith Ballentine. It is originally for Mother's Day but it would work for a wedding also. The words and music are beautiful. If it is a church wedding, there should be no problems with the clergy, using this song.
Mother And Daughter
Words and Music by Keith Ballentine
Copyright © 1986
Mother and Daughter as close as two can be
And when their together it's a bond of unity
There's the love and tust and the hope
That all of the pride and joy in their hearts
That truly reflects their love for each other for years to come.
Mother and Daughter, as close as two can be
And when you first see them feel the warmth of Heaven above
Just to know what feels like the sun that shines through the rain
Beginning the dawn and ending at nightfall
As they are one, they're Mother and Daughter.
First a little girl, then a feeling growing person,
who has all the beauty and love deep inside,
For such a little girl, a little hug feels like a million
She's really special and she'll always be my friend.
'Music Interlude to remember when you were little.'
First a Mom, then a parent, then a teacher
but always a friend all rolled up into one
Makes this Mom a really special kind of woman
Thats caring, unselfish and truly a Mother deep inside.
Mother and Daughter, as close as two can be
And when you first see them feel the warmth of Heaven above
Just to know what feels like the sun that shines through the rain
Beginning the dawn and ending at nightfall
As they are one, they're Mother and Daughter.
Mother and Daughter
They're Mother and Daughter.
This one is also a very pretty song. Lyrics are perfect for a wedding. This song is by Jane Voss
The Thing That Makes You Beautiful by Jane Voss
There’s not a pretty or a handsome
That could hope to stand in place
Or hold a candle to the light I’ve seen
Shining from your face;
What no random quirk of nature
Could ever compromise,
The thing that makes you beautiful is in your eyes.
Oh, the thing that makes you beautiful is in your eyes.
Now some may prize the form of beauty
That’s been sized up by men,
Paraded and rated
On a scale from one to ten.
Don’t they know that there’s no contest
For the Fairest of the Fair?
‘Cause the thing that makes you beautiful is beyond compare,
Oh, the thing that makes you beautiful is beyond compare.
And there are those who say that beauty
Is the flower of a day,
That it blooms in youth only,
And with age will fade away;
But enduring as diamonds,
More shining than gold,
The thing that makes you beautiful cannot grow old.
Oh, the thing that makes you beautiful cannot grow old.
So if there’s ever any question,
If you get to feeling dull and old,
Won’t you let me be your mirror
Where the truth is always told.
In the eye of this beholder
You’re a bright and shining star,
‘Cause the thing that makes you beautiful is the way you are,
Oh, the thing that makes you beautiful is just the way you are

First of all you should talk to the musicians. I am sure the acompanist would have suggestions and you want to make sure you choose something they cna play. Seconda if the ceremony is in a church there may be restrictions on what type of music you can choose. Third talk to your mom, she may already have ideas of what she would like.
Here are the most popular ceremony song choices in my experience:
How Beautiful - Twila Paris
The Wedding Song - Paul Stookey (good for harmony very traditional)
Wherever You Go - Weston Priory/Gregory Norbet
Covenant Hymn - Gary Daigle
Beginning Today - Darryl Ducote
I Am Here - Steven Curtis Chapman
One Hand One Heart (from West Side Story)
Let there Be Peace On Earth - Jill Jackson/Seymour Miller
The Prayer - David Foster/Carol Bayer Sager (recorded by Andreas Bocelli and Celine Dion)
Where There is Love - David Haas
You Raise Me Up - Rolf Lovland & Brendan Graham
When God Made You – Natalie Grant/New Song

Check the songs of Stevie Wonder or Tony Bennett... Or better yet, find out her all time favorite song and sing that! I'm sure what ever you sing, your mother will be proud!

Any love song would work. It doesn't have to be one of the popular songs that everyone else uses. Just make sure the church allows it if she's getting married in one since they usually only allow religious music.
