I was really close to my great grandparents and my fiance was really close with his grandfather. We want to do something in their rememberence for our wedding but not sure exactly what.

I have a really old picture of my great grandparents wedding from the 30s and would somehow love to incorporate it, I'm not sure how I would do that (any suggestions welcome) but i'm wondering if that's appropriate to mix in there.

His grandmother is remarried, so I was thinking maybe flowers in honor of his grandfather since I'm not sure how his grandmother would feel about an old wedding photograph of herself and her late husband since she's now remarried.

Is this a good idea? or does anyone have any other suggestions?

Tradition has it that when you get married go with the brides parish, which would mean C of E, do you think this is right or should I get married catholic for my husband? Please don't say it is up to us and how we feel, I would like your opinions of this matter thank you

It would be the greatest thing when someone asks your hand in marriage (right girls?). All things between engaged couple become sweeter and almost inseparable before the big day. But there are things you forget to deal with until it's really near. The religion you share is different from the start. It won't matter at first but when you get too serious and you think about sharing forever with someone, you think of the future of course. Many questions come out of your mind related to religion. Maybe some married couples can relate to this. I need to hear your smart and candid advices pipz.

My sister asks me to be her bridesmaid. So she knows quite well that I have a boyfriend, whom I've been with for 6 years. Yet she wants me to go with another groomsman who is her fiance's friend. I'm confused. Is that normal? Will my boyfriend be upset by this? It just doesn't sound proper to me. Any thoughts?

I am a Pagan and so is my husband to be. We are having a hand-fasting ritual as our marriage ceremony. All of the bridesmaids and groomsmen will also be pagan. The groom and all the groomsmen will be wearing kilts and the groom is buying them as the groomsmens presents. I would like for the gifts I give to my bridesmaids to be special and reflect the fact that they are pagan and bridesmaids too. I dont just want to get them a pentacle because they that would not be as special as I want it to be for them. So basicialy I am asking does any one know of a specific site that sells pagan bridesmaid's gifts. If not does any one have an idea as to what I could get them that will be just as special.

My friend, whom I have been in and out of contact with for the past 15 years, is getting married. She sent me several different e-mails to let me know the dates and locations of the bridal shower, bachelorette party and wedding. They weren't e-cards or e-vites either, just an e-mail. Is this the norm now?

Is it customary for the bride and groom to leave the reception first?? My fiance and I are paying for our whole wedding so we want to enjoy it and party on with our friends and family for as long as we want. a few people have told me that we are supposed to be the 1st to leave. we're not going on a honey moon straight away so it shouldnt matter should it?

What's your honest reaction?
A) Aww, I'm so happy for them! What a nice picture!
B) That ***** didn't invite me to her wedding!?
C) They eloped- how tacky! And now they're sending an announcement because they expect gifts!!!!!

Me and my fiance had a really hard time picking out a bridesmaid dress that we both liked. Now I'm having seconds thoughts about the dress we picked being too casual. The problem is that I've already told one of my bridesmaids which dress to order and it's on sale so she probably already ordered it. I just want some reasurrance that it's not too casual. Any comments? Thanx so much!

My boyfriend and I have been together for a long time and engaged since March. His parents are very catholic and want him to finish school before getting married but this is something we both really want. Is there a way to get married without our parents finding out? and how will taxes work? because if thats on them it will be very obvious.

I have a dear friend who is gettting married in January and just got engaged a week ago. She asked me to be her matron of honor...and yes, I'm honored! Her family is LOADED but I'm like the majority of America and I'm trying to make ends meet with my husband and son. I know that I have certain duties and I'm supposed to host her bridal shower and her bachelorette party and I have no idea how I'm supposed to swing something like that. She has a good budget to work with but aren't those things supposed to come out of my pocket? There's the two parties, plus my dress, plus my son's tux, plus her wedding gift. My husband works but we only have one income. I've applied for some part time jobs but I'm so worried I won't get hired in time. What do I do? I want her to have the best wedding experience possible (like I didn't have) but at the same time I can't make money appear out of nowhere. I'm so stressed about this..what should I do? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

I have an unusual engagement ring that has detail on the sides where the wedding band would normally meet up to it. I need a band made to bend around this detail to an almost a small v-shape. Any help out there? I live in South Carolina, so semi close or internet would be great! Thank you so much!

My fiancee not long ago went to a wedding where the bride and groom wanted a chocolate cake, but wanted to look traditional. So the bride came up with the idea of icing and decorating a styrofoam block cut out which appeared to the guests, but after slicing it together, they went out back and served up the pre cut chocolate cake from the fridge.

I am trying to find song to dance with my step dad at my wedding. He has always been real good to me, but its never been the fauther-daughter kind of relationship. He's been around since I was about 17 and just married my mom to become the "step dad". The past few years we have grown closer. Is there a song out there that represents this kind of relationship that would fit ? Please any suggestions.
