I have an unusual engagement ring that has detail on the sides where the wedding band would normally meet up to it. I need a band made to bend around this detail to an almost a small v-shape. Any help out there? I live in South Carolina, so semi close or internet would be great! Thank you so much!

I'm sure if you went back to the jeweler where the ring was bought that they could help you.

I would suggest buying from a jeweler and not online because you need something so specific you probably would need to show them your ring to get exactly what you want.

Try searching for custom wedding bands there are a ton of sites out there.

Good luck!

Pick a jewler, any jewler. They can ALL do custom work for you, including Zales (my first ring from HTB was custom made from there).

However, the V shaped molded bands are pretty common place, especially for people who have unsual shapes like a marquis cut solitare. Many places already carry them.

If they don't you do need to be prepared to have to leave you ring for a day or two while they take impressions to make sure they get a perfect fit if it is a complicated shape.

Ask around and find a reputable jeweler in your area. Don't depend on chain stores, they do it, but I am not sure the quality would be as good. Most independant jewelers do custom work. Word of mouth is the best bet, maybe you could ask to see a portfolio of their work. I had my band custom made, the jeweler asked what our ideas were, drew out a sketch, and showed us the ring several times as he was building it to make sure we were on the same track and happy with what he had done so far. I love my ring and am very pleased, and I feel he really worked well with us to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. Best wishes!

Or just go to a couple a jewelry stores nearby and tell them what you want. I wouldn't go to Zales or anything in a mall, because they usually can't do anything custom. Good Luck!
