Me and my fiance had a really hard time picking out a bridesmaid dress that we both liked. Now I'm having seconds thoughts about the dress we picked being too casual. The problem is that I've already told one of my bridesmaids which dress to order and it's on sale so she probably already ordered it. I just want some reasurrance that it's not too casual. Any comments? Thanx so much!

My colors are red and black, so yes it will be in the black satin. My dress is pretty formal, but I really do want my girls to be able to wear their dress again. Plus it's washable, that's a plus.

For accessories we were thinking red high heels and a red flower for their hair. We like the old fashioned pinup girl look. The wedding is going to be semi-formal. My dress is the only think really formal about it.

Its very pretty, I don't think it is too casual. If that is what you like and you want it for you wedding day, then go for it!

Is your wedding formal, or informal?

That dress is ok for an informal wedding BM, not a formal one.

If YOUR dress informal? All people's attire should match the same level of formality.

For an informal wedding, the men should be in business suits instead of tuxedos.

Also, WHY in the world would you dress your bridesmaids in black?!

If you switch BM dresses, then YOU will have to reimburse the woman who already bought hers.

That is a lovely dress. The satin is very elegant. It would be perfect for a semi-formal wedding. If you are having a formal wedding, then you should have a full length bridesmaids dress. The dress is not casual at all. There is nothing casual about satin. Nice choice.

When it comes down to it, you're the bride--how do YOU feel about the dress. It doesn't matter if everyone else hates the dress, if you like it then that's all that really matters. And, bless you for choosing a dress that is going to be very versatile for your bridesmaids. They will DEFINITELY be able to wear that one again! It doesn't scream "bridesmaid dress," you know? I think it's a very nice, semi-formal dress.

It wouldn't be my choice for a wedding, but it is a beautiful dress. I like the pin-up idea and the girl who suggested the red lipstick and nail polish. It is completely up to you...you are the bride...it's your day! Best Wishes!

I actually really like this dress, it's elegant, not frumpy and it can be worn again. If the girls are paying for their dresses then it's a good idea to have something they can wear again, nothing worse than asking them to waste money on dresses that get worn once. Good choice.

I love it! I got my bridesmaids through JC Penny's as well. While its no longer avalible, it was a floor leghth, strapless, deap red satin dress... the ones you have chosen will look great. but don't let your bridesmaids wait to get it... the dress I wanted went off sale befor 2 of my 4 bms could buy them... so make sure you get all of them QUICKLY!

Honestly. That is the cheapest and tackiest dress anyone has ever posted on here. Charmeuse is a cheap imitation of silk. It is not even close to being nice enough for a bridesmaid dress. The female guests will all be dressed nicer than them. It looks like something a woman would wear to work, not a semi-formal wedding. I hope this post is a joke to get a good laugh in the middle of the week.

Sorry, but it's not like a BM dress at all. It's not that it's too casual, it's too severe. Plus, rethink the black...

If you like the pinup look & really go for it, then I think it is perfect! Ask them to wear red lipstick & polish also! The satin fabric makes it more formal too, by the way!
