My fiance and I are getting married in less than 3 weeks and had to change the location. We were going to get married in my sister's back yard with an outside ceremony. The weather hasn't been great lately and so we changed it to a community center close to where we live. The problem is that now my sister's feelings are hurt and she's my matron of honor.

We changed the location because of the weather and we didn't have a backup plan in case in rained (we're in FL). My sister said that we could move it inside her house, which is quite large, but will not hold 100 people and a DJ and a room for a dance floor. We were going to get a tent, but that wouldn't cover everything and a bigger tent would be even more money.

Ultimately, I don't know what to say to my sister. Any advice?

My SIL just cancelled her wedding and is getting engaged to another guy in a month. She mentioned having a quick destination wedding with close family members. My husband and I don't have money for that. Would we be "required" to go to this?

I'm currently 18, turning 19 next month...me and my girlfriend recently broke up due to her wanting her independance at university which I obviously respect. But i'm finding her leaving alot more painful than I thought it would be...and the old saying "you don't know what you've got until its gone" kicked in...I recently spoke to a friend who got engaged and thats why i'm thinking of asking her...maybe after a few months of her being there. Just wondering if anyone else had a similar experiance and how they found it. =]

i have no one to help me with certain aspects of my wedding planning. my mother tells me anything i choose would b beautiful or she likes it all or its my special day do whatever i want. my sister didnt have a wedding and is alittle bitter about me having a large one. (she was pregnant and ran to the JP and is now divorced) my other siblings r in their teens and pretty passive about marriage and weddings. as far as friends i have a couple who r a little snooty and dont like anyone having anything better than them and if i find something better than they had (not trying to outdo them) they get angry my other friends and i dont share the same taste. my fiance has an ex gf. we r all friends. i love her to death and i thought of having her help me. he has no problem with this. she was married about 6 months ago so shes been thru it all plus we get along amazingly and we have close the same taste when it comes to these things. when i mentioned this to some ppl they were taken aback. they

I thought it would be romantic to ask my girlfriend to marry me and already have the engagement ring. Some people say to not do this and you should shop around together. I have put alot of time into researching diamonds and believe I have found the perfect one. Additionally she is not picky when it comes to jewelry. Should I go ahead and buy one or wait to ask her then shop around together?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for almost 2 years now and have lived together for a little over a year. We've been discussing getting married a lot lately, and I want a real wedding like every woman wants. I have a large family, and I want them to all be there.

So, I want at least 50 or less guests. We might not be engaged for another year or so, but I'm wondering if I should set a bit of my paycheck aside for a wedding now?

During the summer we were told we didn't have to invite all of his cousins (he has over 20 aunts and uncles and 60 some cousins!). We only want 200 people at the wedding (that's the max at our venue, too) and his family alone takes 113 guests. We finally have our number of A-list invites below 250 people, but that's with none of his friends and most of mine taken off the list.
I feel bad because the friends that know us best aren't being invited, and his parents are "making" us invite all the cousins (they say "invite all, or invite none." But then they told us we had to invite all!). When we suggested a second reception for his family alone, they didn't want to do that since some of his family would then have two invites for things with our wedding. I don't get it!
My fiance feels really bad, and I haven't helped. I would rather plan and pay for (my family is paying) family and friends that know us and love us to celebrate with us. I'm not sure what to do next. Any thoughts?

I don't know how to say this but I think I done something silly , this boy loved me for me and I ask him out but at the time I was only making fun out of him and then I went out with this guy name chris and we used to wait for him outside his home in front of his door waiting for him to come out or come back from school we all was same ages and me and my BF used to french kiss each other ever day for 2 full years so he can see it and then we cost him 1 year of his school cause he wanted to get his own back of what we was doing to him , anyway it went to court and he won us. 7 years later I saw him and we both looked into each others eyes and he still look hurted but same time he still look so mad at me. after all this time why can't he just drop it ! and if I see him again what should I say cause it wasn't just me ! I looked into his eyes after 7 years and I saw him being so mad but same time he given me abit of soft look but before all of that 7 years ago I called his mother a fat cow and I got onto all his family and made fun out of them all in front of him

My boyfriend and I have been dating for 16 months. I am almost 24, he is 28. We recently moved in together and are very much in love. We both have steady, good paying jobs that we enjoy. He talks about a future with me (buying a house, having kids, a wedding). We had even opened a joint account for paying bills and saving some $ for a house. He had mentioned dates of possible proposals....but they have all come and went. (HE mentioned the dates in MAY). He planned a beautiful vacation to California for us and I thought it could maybe happen there...but it didn't. I don't bug him or really ask about when or if its going to happen because I don't want to pressure him.

My dad (being the old fashioned Italian dad) asked him recently what his intentions are with me. He said he wants to marry me someday. HIS friends also asked him while we were moving "So are you going to propose to her, or what?" (ALL of his friends are married or engaged also). He told them yes.

I personally have never had the dream wedding in mind. I always knew I would have to pay for my own wedding, so I have always invisioned eloping in Vegas or having a court house wedding. My fiance just wants me to be happy, but I want both of our families to be happy. His mom has an issue with the fact that we want to go to the court house and later go somewhere by ourselves to share personal vowes. She wants us to at least have a small ceremony. I don't know what to do. My parents do not know we are getting married yet. They were married by a Justice of the Peace, so I'm not sure they will have a huge problem. I know my mom thinks expensive weddings are ridiculous. Another issue is that I have a 7 year old daughter who might get her feelings hurt if she isn't a flower girl... Please give me your thoughts and opinions. I know the ultimate conclusion is marriage, I just want everyone to be happy. I don't care how it happens as long as I'm married to my wonderful fiance!!!

I just went into CVS looking for a wedding card for my sister. None of them were anything special, and I'd LOVE something unique. .Are there any places online where I can order a wedding card or are there any GREAT stores for cards? (Aside from Hallmark, Walgreens, Etc.)

We are both Marines in California, and have been deeply in love for a year now. He is not the kind of man to show his emotions , but in the past few months he has opened up to me so much and tells me as to how he feels about "us". He told me that he never wants to be with any other woman and wants me to be the mother of his children. Everything he talks about is including "us" and the future he wants us to have. He told me that being with me is like "finally coming home!". He says he never wants to lose me and if I did it would crush him for the rest of his life. He said if he lost me his world would end. He asked me to move in with him so that we can finally get our life started and have a solid foundation for our lives. Doe it seem to you that he wanting to propose to me or am I just misreading the things he is talking about? He has talked about marriage as well and did say he wants me to be the woman he will marry in the future
