The dress is gorgeous. I do think that it is too big and long for a beach wedding unless its not actually on the beach but by it. If its on the beach then a shorter dress and bare foot is the way to go.
Your hair would look nice just down or down but tied back a bit. I think an up-do is too much for a beach wedding.

for the beach I would probably leave the hair long and wavy, it just kinda goes with the natural feel of the environment, and as far as wearing shoes, you shouldnt need to but, if he thinks you should, its his day too. May I suggest a pair of just married flip flops to go under your dress, your the only one that will see them, and they kinda go with the theme then also. Then you can both be happy.
Your dress is beautiful by the way.
Or with the hair you could pin it back, kinda in aloose bun and then put a big white flower, or a colored flower in there.

Usually for beach weddings, brides dont choose a dress like this. So I understand why your fiance thinks this particular dress needs shoes. But, shoes on the beach? Thats ridiculous. Youll just end up walking all funny or even worse- falling!! Do not wear shoes. He shouldnt either. And your guests should go barefoot as well.

With a dress like that, which BTW is very pretty, you wouldn't see the shoes anyway. That is quite a formal dress for a beach wedding, so I would just wear your hair out, put some curls in it. You can just wear flip-flops if you want to wear shoes. But if choose not to wear anything then it's your choice, it's not like it's in a church - it's a beach, you're not meant to wear shoes!! Just tell him this.

I don't think i'd want to wear shoes on a beach either, but that's up to you- your dress will prob cover your shoes so you wont' even see them. It might also depend on what time you are getting married- will it be hot, will you step on something hard that'll hurt your feet?
As for your hair, you could wear it down and wavy, up loose and wavy, etc. When I picture beach weddings, I think of loose wavy hair :)
Your dress is very pretty- my dress is bunchy too- I love that :)

That dress is completely inappropriate for a beach wedding and he's absolutely right, it would be really tacky to not wear shoes. If you really don't want to wear shoes you should choose a dress that is much less formal.

On the beach, the best you'll want to do is flip flops - maye some of the wedge style if you need the height. I've done a couple where even those were ditched by all the gals.
Politely suggest he walk on the beach in three inch heels!
BTW - like the dress!

I love the dress it's very chic!
The best hairstyle would be an updo with a small tiara.
And even though the dress is long I wouldn't wear sandles unless they are dressy (white) sandles. I would go barefoot on the beach. Flip Flops or beach sandles are tackier than going barefoot.
My friend's wedding was on the beach last year and she was barefoot and had a great pedicure with a french manicure on her toes.

First of all congrats on your wedding dress, its beautifulllllllllll. I think that you should go the way you feel the most comfortable. The dress if long and no one is going to see your feet. Unless you lift your dress so you can walk. But who cares if they dont see you with shoes. Good Luck to you both. Love and respect one another :).

Once you hit the sand it won't be practical to wear shoes. Take them with you for the rest of the day, but when on the beach dont bother wearing them. No one will see them under the ling skirt anyway.
